Will Steer be recalled?

He needs to figure out how to deal with crosses/corners and command his box.  If our keeper doesn't do that then he really isn't much use.  He could possibly figure that out on loan somewhere.  His distribution is good and all the other aspects of his game are mostly fine.  I think he makes the defence look worse than they are.

Good news and the right decision.  It's like a new signing!

How tall is he, can he head it?

How many matches until the window opens and we can get a new goalkeeper and centre back?  Can't come soon enough for me.

I think the game underlined how much we need a new striker.

The season pass was a complete waste of money last year, I'm glad there are no automatic renewals.

With Terry and Jedinak doubling up on Mitrovic I can see him having a frustrating afternoon myself.

Am I missing something about this guy?  On loan from Newcastle and a lower goals per minute ratio than Grabban.  Adomah has scored more (admittedly over a longer time period).

In my opinion, the "Club England" ticket holders, for the most part, will be happy to sell their tickets.  Hard to say if tickets will make it to general sale but I imagine everyone who's been to 3 games will get a ticket - the club must have a good idea about that, 3 is a pretty arbitrary number.  There are a lot more tickets available than for the FA Cup so in theory prices should be lower.  Anyway, all that aside, I fly in on Thursday and I think I now have a ticket, train and hotel so I'm set! 

Millwall with nothing to play for, didn't expect that.  Good game for Onomah to play and Barnie if fit.  And Kodja to start.  Beyond that, who cares?  But I want a Villa win.

I sometimes wonder why teams bother (especially Cardiff) kick him all over the pitch, but then on days like today you see what potential is there and why they worry about him.  I just hope Villa keep up with his trajectory.

Although Alan can also cover Left Back, one of them would definitely have to go.

So unfortunately, it seems the best thing to do would really be to sacrifice him.

Do we have any idea when he'll be available for selection, if only as an impact sub?

I was annoyed with the replays until I realised it was saving me from watching the live football.  I also was completely unsure who the man of the match was until I realised it was the goalkeeper by a country mile.  We looked like the away team and created nothing.  I really want stability but Bruce has had a year, two transfer windows and needs to go.  We were very second best at home against a team who will probably be in the frame for relegation, if they were any better (say had Hogan) would have won.  Just the thought of waiting another year for the semblance of hope leaves me cold.  Austin next week could be ugly.  Fire the replay guy and take Bruce with you.

Isn't it likely that the transfer will go through after we play them?  No point in opening yourself up to any potential criticism by giving them a player eager to please - however unlikely he does something effective. 

He was pretty poor.  He always is.

He was really good!  (Seemed to lack pace) but there's definitely something about him.

I was just impressed how he took care of everything.  He looks like he's going to be a star.

Just thought he had a great game.  I haven't actually seen a better goalkeeping display in a long time.  Wow, that must be a tough decision?

Bacuna is only 25 and is 6' 2"?  Thought he was older and shorter.  Also, if we can get another 500,000 GBP from Reading, that's not chump change.  I'm okay with the more hardline approach.

From watching the YouTube clip, he seems very right-footed, takes the ball from the left and moves it right very efficiently.  I'm guessing he will be on the bench for the opener and will start against Colchester.  Doesn't look like a #10 but what do I know?
