The amount of time put in by a few of the N. American chairmen to help get this event organized ...especially considering the short notice given for everything ...has been fantastic.

Everything I'm seeing on the FB event page points to a great turnout. Several of us Houston supporters will be making the trip ...section 109 for me.

    See y'all there.

Looking forward to a week off work too but it looks like the weather will be distinctly Houston-ish which is unfortunate.

As I’ve said on this site quite a few times on this site, I saw him for Croatia against England in the Nations League, he looked outstanding. It would seem foolish that we signed on the back of that one game, did anyone else see that match?

I saw it and he did look really good, certainly a better performance than any in a Villa shirt.  Also he conceded twice which seems to be his average...

  3. I am quite sure he will be with us until the end of the window and will then go out on loan to the highest bidder, if only because I think we will have to do the same for some of the players we want to get in.  Hopefully he'll be next season's Tammy in the Championship... well we can hope.

I've just come in after a great night out with family and friends, and browsed the Villa news before going to bed (as you do).

I have a question  .... who the F*ck are Birmingham Live, Hitc, Sports Witness, etc, etc?

A bunch of teenage bloggers trolling Forums such as VT, and trying to turn posts into "NEWS".

I've had enough of the clickbait shit that dominates News Now pretending to be 'NEWS'.

Let's get rid of the lying *****rs by refusing to click on their pathetic totally invented "NEWS'.

We do not need these parasites!

These low life need to have their collective arses kicked by Villa fans. They need to be told in no uncertain terms that they are bottom feeding scum.

    Good night all.

I've just come in from a great night too and I too am reading Villa news before bed.  I read VillaTalk precisely because I can disseminate all the click bait stories.  You should be encouraging people to do this for us!

I’ve given Smith an average today because it was blatantly obvious Hourihane had to come on half time. Was suprised it took so long.

We weren’t at our best today but that Albion performance would have made Pulis proud. I think we can beat them on Tuesday.

I think it was always the plan to start Hourihane for the second leg.

  6. 6 days, 9 points and sitting 6th after a completely one-sided game against a team 4 places above us in 5th and with the league's best defence.  I was so confident about this game I invited my wife to watch it with me.  We are playing beautiful football and that's with Tammy struggling a bit.  I love watching Villa right now!

  7. It works fine for me, I have a computer plugged into a 55" TV and the resolution is still pretty good with no freezes.  When I watch at the pub, the internet can cause a few freezes.

  8. I just flipped the month on this year's Villa calendar and see that March is Chester.  This follows Bolasie for January and Tuanzebe for February.  Looking ahead I see Hutton is April so I'm really concerned for Grealish in May.  Is there any chance that a player will be fit and/or at the club for the month they represent in 2019?

  9. Under contract, in the prime of his career and playing regularly in the Championship, we'll get some cash for him at the end of the season at the very least.  Much better than letting old, high-paid midfielders leave for free.

  10. To me it seems we need to stop paying big fees for older players so Rico Henry is the only player I would target from Brentford.  They obviously don't need to sell so he won't be cheap which is probably why there is a lack of news.  Sounds like Fuchs is the fallback position.  The CDM we need will come from somewhere else.  Just my read on the lack of movement in the market.  Only 2 more games until the window closes...

  11. I like the idea of a 3-5-2, our defence is awful, only 3 other teams have shipped more goals in the Championship.  I realise Smith likes to attack but a solid foundation for attacking is needed.  Plus it looks like our new left back isn't arriving anytime soon.

  12. I wouldn't want an option to buy Fuchs, he's 32.  He'd be a stop gap measure until the end of the season.  My guess is we are pursuing younger options right now and Fuchs will only come in nearer the end of the window... or if Taylor gets crocked again in the next couple of weeks.  Just a guess mind, he'll probably be announced on Monday for all I know.
