As soon as a big transfer happens Im certain that will set the ball rolling. Its usually the way. Thing is, it normally takes a good couple of weeks for someone to make the first move and then its almost one mass panic for everyone else to complete the deals they want to push through.

Ferguson wouldnt improve us - is only as good as Mccann. We always used to sign average players or stop gaps. Well its time we put some star quality into our side. Hands up who expected anything like this from the club? An actual Board member spending the time to register on a Villa fan site, to be honest knowing that people within the club do actually read boards like this amazes me since its unheard of to do such a thing round here!

General, I would like to add my thanks to Mr Lerner and everyone else involved with the takeover of our fabulous club and bringing such a change in atmosphere in such a short space of time. We all look forward to many years of improvement and success.

As far as I can see, all this new news from other interested parties comes from reports in the Meaning Evil who, if I remember correctly, are a paper famous for being anti-Villa. Who do we email to tell the club just how fecked off we are with this? Tell them we havent added to a squad that embarressed the club and its supportors throughout last season with only glimses of what they could do if they were bothered? How we are a couple of weeks away from a season with a caretaker caretaker (ffs!!!) manager in charge. How many fans still wont purchase season tickets until the club has sorted itself out starting at the top.

Just think if the Americans from today are to do with Lerner its going over old ground when there are far more presssing matters to be sorted out.

As its already been said, I doubt Mr Lerner will need to be over here if he was 15mins from closing a deal last week. Original terms (Lerners not Ellis) more or less would be on the table in a take it leave it offer. Dougie on his knees, sniffing the desk (not not cuz he pissed on it, cuz of all the £££), Stride helps him up, after wiping his bottom. Hands are shook, Lerner wipes the piss of his hands, papers signed, Villa fans rejoice as Ellis is booted straight out Randys new office, and he crawls into a darkening lonely world.
