General has just confirmed that the kit will not be next seasons too. The away this season will be next seasons third kit. **** ridiculous imo
Terrible decision. Completely ripping off anyone who buys this shirt.
But personally I wasn't a fan of the design so quite glad it won't be sticking around.

Now that's a fishtank
Hope there's plenty of space between it and the pool table, looks a bit tight. Can just imagine pulling back the cue for a shot and putting it through the glass!!

not the cleverest of things to say. i can understand him wanting to keep expectations at a sensible level, but that was both pretty offensive and incorrect.

Some of the whining on the past few pages is laughable.
I don't think it is.
Who villa appoint could be the difference between us reaching the champions league or getting relegated. It's a massive decision for Randy and co and we, as villa fans, want to see the best candidate appointed.
If people think that Houllier or KMac are the wrong people for the job they are well within their rights to be concerned.
-
I'd be happy with Sven.
I know he's not the most popular man in the country but his record is excellent, he was harshly sacked at man city and if we gave him a few seasons (and a reasonable kitty) i really think he could take us on to the next level.
-
In his time at Liverpool, Houllier signed Emile Heskey and got rid of Brad Friedel. He also let Anelka leave because he needed the money to sign El Hadji Diouf at £10m.
Hmmmm.

Resting four players after only one competitive match and with so many players out injured or suspended??
This suggests that we are once again not taking this competition seriously.
We're not. K Mac says it's important we can get into the group stages so that we can get the youngsters some experience.
Disappointing stuff.
It doesn't make sense to me. We seem to discard the Europa, make it our lowest priority, to ensure that we achieve our aim in the premier league - to finish in the european places. Just so we can chuck it away the following season.
:?

In fairness its not Nikes fault that kids are really slow on the sewing machines, and they are tired after all the man u shirts are finished. i'm sure they can move the kit date foward if we lobby for their water breaks to be taken away
But then they won't have enough empty water bottles to make the shirts. It's a catch 22.

This story thats appeared everywhere, I dont see any quotes from milner or o'neil...where is the original story from?
I thought that. Not that i don't believe it, but where are the quotes?
-
They couldn't risk having promo shots with players who might leave (like Barry last year in the white kit). So when they selected shots from last year to edit the kits on they would leave out Milner, Young and Carew.
They planning to sell Downing too are they?
-
Like it a lot. Looking forward to seeing the away too.

According to BBC there is just sleet on Wednesday
Nothing to be worried about at all
Im near Oxford and its been snowing all morning, already got a couple of cm. Really hope it doesn't affect me driving up tonight.

Ashley for me. More exciting, more talented. As people have mentioned though, he needs to cut out the diving. If he didn't play for villa i think i'd hate the guy.
Love Jimmy's work ethic though.

Very disappointed with the result.
Guzan - 6 Made a couple of good saves, but didn't look quite as comfotable as we've seen
Shorey - 6 Not as good as monday, but not awful
Cueller - 7 Some brilliant clearances
Davies - 7 Reasonably solid
Beye - 6 Caught out of position a couple of times. Milner had to bail him out.
Young - 7 I'd have given him an 8 or 9 but the pen was bad and i don't like the way he goes down.
Petrov - 6 OK on the ball but no killer passes.
Delph - 7 Very promising. Some good passing.
Milner -7 Worked hard as usual. Great pen, but a bad miss later in the game.
Heskey - 5 Offered nothing going forwards. Didn't link up with carew at all.
Carew- 7 Well taken goal. Easily our best striker.
MON - 5 Had we played 4-5-1 i doubt Rapid would have carved themselves out as many chances. Heskey should have been on the bench or at the very least subbed much earlier for Gabby.
Congrats to Rapid. Their fans were amazing in both legs. Unlike the villa supporters. 22000, considering the 2 for 1 ticket offer, was really weak.
-
distin for me. maybe in a few years when cahill has got a bit more experience he could come back to us.
-
But the program all but promised big names, with profiles of our first team stars, and a squad list on the back that included 2 or 3 of the kids who played.
-
were devine or carruthers any good?
carruthers didn't do an awful lot. he was fairly composed when he was on the ball though, and got a big cheer when he went through the oxford player who had taken out gary gardner.
-
The fixture was officially Aston Villa. Not an XI.
That's not what it says on the match ticket.
-
nah mate mcandrew is in charge
feel sorry for you
darn it.
oh well. i'll still cheer the lads on.
there could be a couple of future stars in there. heard good things about gary gardner.

Will MON even be there?

Team: Elliot Parish, Chris Herd, Daniel Devine, Shane Lowry, Tomos Roberts, Daniel Bradley, Dominik Hofbauer, Gary Gardner, Andras Stieber, James Collins, Adam McGurk.
Substitutes: Richard Blythe, Ben Siegrist, Jason Lampkin, Jack Dyer, Kofi Poyser, Samir Carruthers, Durell Berry, William Grocott, Ryan Simmonds.
Not impressed. Spent £30 on tickets for me and the gf. I was expecting a pretty weak team but not 1 senior player?

The thing to remember here is that Steiber no longer plays for us, so I'd be amazed if he travelled all the way from Germany to play at the Kassam, Id be even more amazed if Albrighton, Bannan, Lichaj, Weimann, Lowry and Herd play considering they're off until Thursday with the rest of the lads who played on sunday night - so i'm pretty sure thats just a generic squad list Vital Oxford have taken from somewhere else..... You heard it here first! Wait until the official list shows up from the official site!
Didn't realise all the Peace cuppers were off til thursday.
I'll keep my fingers crossed and wait for an official announcement then!
Signed: Darren Bent £18m rising to £24m with add on's
in Hall of Fame

Fantastic news. Even if we miss out on Bent it proves we are willing to spend top money on a striker. Hope this comes off though cos he'll undoubtedly score the goals we need to keep us in the league.
