  1. Huge game now (arent they all) looking at previous seasons and teams around us it feels that 7 w

ins from 12 will do it but with games we have left it means Luton although a tough game have to be one of those wins

Team news big for both sides in terms of predictions as they have a few out and we are waiting on Pau news

Tight away win is where im sitting now 1-2

  2. It will be another interesting summer, champions league seems the easiest route out alongside a big sale and I suppose where the Ramsey sale comes in due to him being an academy player, as someone said above though its crap for teams like us as how are we ever meant to go forwards if we have to keep selling players

January probably told us alot to, Dendocker going out purely to get wages off books alongside Azaz sale for some profit - The new players in will all have been on low wages which is where ultimately the biggest costs come from and not the transfer fees

Playing Norwich at Bodymoor, 12:30 kick-off

Hammond, Pavey, Moreland, Onuchukwu, Lynch,  TJ Carroll, Simpson, Hemming, Hayward, Mulley, Burrowes

Subs: Oakley, Timson, McDowell, Fortes, Green

Looking at that I think there will be a few players playing out of position, as there are no fullbacks and only one central defender in the starting line-up, and no specialist striker either, no idea who Green is on the bench, must either be a U16/U15, or possibly a new signing

    U16 right back, Jacob Green

  4. You have to play these teams at some point, they have a cup semi final on the Tuesday before and a trip to Anfield the mid week after and we will have just had a 2 week break - We need to get on with it!

  5. Was a little sceptical of the travel so far for friendlies but having read posts on here, watched videos on twitter and listened to Ash Preece updates im so glad we did, opens your eyes to the size of the cliub and the dedication fans put in to support so brilliant they get to see some live matches, the 5.35start was ok too, great start to the day watching the boys win!

If first team and (direct backup) and kid/utility

    GK Martinez (Olsen) Marschall

    RB Cash (Guilbert) Kesler

    CB Carlos (Konsa) Hause

    CB Mings (Chambers) Feeney

    LB Digne (Augustinsson) Young

    CM Kamara (Nakamba) Chukwuemeka

    CM McGinn (Luiz) Iroegbunam

    CM Ramsey (Sanson) A. Ramsey

    AM Buendia (Traore) Philogene-Bidace

    AM Coutinho (Bailey) El Ghazi

    ST Watkins (Ings) Archer

In my opinion, we still look like we need another senior option in central midfield as none of those four are consistent and we need two of them to be in form at any one time. Defensively, we seem ok as long as we're prepared to drop underperforming players sometimes... Naming no names... TM. Attacking wise there are questions over Bailey and, more so, Traore. Up front we do seem a little short, especially if Archer isn't deemed ready. Some talented kids help pad the squad out further.

Personally I'd be looking for that elusive midfield engine who can tackle (fairly McGinn!) and create and then a striker.

Really good post which highlights we effectively have 3 teams, get there is a variety of quality however you cant just 1. keep buying and adding to the wage bill 2. keep blocking the pathway for players - Realistically i would look to get rid of 5-6 of these through loans and sales and buy one more top draw (Kamara bracket) midfielder and if the right deal came up a striker however it would have to be next level for me rather than more of the same

  7. When I was watching the game Saturday I couldnt help but think despite the calls for further additions to the squad in Bailey we have that cliched ''new signing'' already here, would love to see him get a run of games over pre season as there is definety an attacking asset for us to use this year we just havent seen anywhere near the best of him

It’s worked very well for Liverpool over the years.

City are thriving from it, look at their outs the last couple of years and there is loads of this goes on, same with Chelsea

  9. Alot of talk with our youngsters about championship moves etc but i think you have to be realistic and realise a lot of this development in youth is a bigger picture business model with the plan of bringing them in for low compo, developing them through loans across the league and selling on for the balance sheet with the top 5-10% of them going onto the first team

Imagine my shock. People got mad at clickbait.

Absolutely tearing the kid apart in some quarters based on that article, im pretty sure it will all come clear once he has finished the tournament he is in and had a break

  11. I think personally I would get him on a half season loan deal with a view to getting him back in Jan, let him build on last year and recent england performances and then let him go in the prem

I could see why you’d call Gallagher a one season wonder if the season you’re referring to wasn’t last season. If he’d done well a couple of seasons ago then dropped off then fair enough. He’s just had a great season, which is the reason he’s attracting so much interest. Predicting next season is where better qualified people than us earn their corn. Next season he may drop off but could just as easily be just as good or better. In which case he’d be £60-80m and heading to the Man City bench club.

Was also decent for West Brom the season before in a very poor team so has performed in the prem for last two seasons
