I'm pretty pleased with the work he put in yesterday and I thought he performed great. Not to get ahead of myself, but if we can carry on looking like a unit like we did against Stoke, this season shouldn't be as horrific as last season. I still think we might struggle for a couple of spells, but I'm very happy to see some more discipline on the pitch and that can only work in our favor. I think Richardson will be a good asset for Villa during the season and I'm glad to see him here.

really pleased with this performance and I sincerely hope we'll be able to keep this going, because if we do we'll have no problem getting a comfortable finishing position.

I still have faith that there's a good manager in there. He hasn't only fouled up tactical decisions, look at the West Brom game where he made changes in the 60th min somthing and it turned the game around. I also believe that by reintroducing bomb squaders and some more experieced lads into the team we will have more rotation on the field and more tactical options. Couple that with a (hopefully) less injury plagued season and I think we're finally in for some of that long awaited improvement. Tough times, but I think we'll pull through with Paul.

although things are far from ideal by any stretch of meaning tied to that word, I doubt we'll get the knock this year. I do believe as long as we retain Vlaar in the team we have the ability to stay up, but I do not think we'll be able to hope for a top 10 finish. even with all the injuries last year we managed to stay afloat and I don't see that happening for the course of two consecutive seasons. only time will tell, but I'm not about to spell doom and gloom just yet.

Reading the last few pages, where on earth is the hysteria coming from? As far as I can see nothing has happened today of any note?

Indeed, I'm not going to panic until anything conclusive that supports that sentiment surfaces.
