Southgate masterclass

The manager was right to rotate. He needs to see what he has to work with. But Sanson over McGinn, and now he knows he can't rely on Olsen.
Exactly this for me, only real chance for him to have a look and access what he has and what he needs to do in the break.

How's that not a booking for deliberate hand ball ffs

A pure accident according to the commentator. Just accidentally backing into the player and belting him with the arm.
Just like van de beeks foul earlier 'It's one of those that looks worse than it is' tw#t

I'm off to the brexit thread to talk about Emery
Maybe some are a bit dyslexic and seen references to UE and thought they where on the right thread

Guess is the right place for this, just watched this ranking every current premier league manager, sky sports. Ending up shouting at quite a bit of it
Personally...
A: Jurgen Klöpp (Liverpool), Pep Guardiola (Man City), Antonio Conte (Spurs), Unai Emery (Aston Villa)
B: Erik ten Haag (Man Utd), Graham Potter (Chelsea), Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)
C. Thomas Frank (Brentford), Eddie Howe (Newcastle), Ralph Hassunhüttl (Southampton), Patrick Viera (Crystal Palace)
D. David Moyes (West Ham), Marco Silva (Fulham), Steve Cooper (Nottingham Forest), Roberto De Cerbi (Brighton)
E: Frank Lampard (Everton), Gary O'Neil (Bournemouth), Jesse Marsch (Leeds), N/A (Wolves)
Harder than I thought with some of them. I have taken into account of who I would personally prefer as a manager, rather than just their managerial records ie David Moyles done well with WH but wouldn't want him anywhere near the Villa job.

Go out and " eat " the opposition.
Based on the multiple things I've read, it seems his approach is also heavily psychological.
Our mentality seems to have let us down quite often so this is very good.
It's a good job we didn't sign Luis Suarez

My Mrs said he looks a bit like Dracula.
I said "Fangs for the Emery". I laughed, she shook her head and called me a clearing in the woods It was great.
That made me laugh out loud, the family asking what I'm laughing at. Nothing

i dunno, i agree we should back him with some signings, but he also has a history of improving players and bringing youth through.
Some of our youngsters must be delighted with this appointment. The likes of Chukwu... Oh no wait a minute. ..gosh he could have really benefited from this.. oh well never mind.

Sacked Gerrard Thursday night and by Friday emery had told villarreal he was leaving?
Sounds like we knew exactly what we wanted and poch and tuchel were part of playing the game, not sure if it was by us or by them, wouldn't be surprised if tuchel publicly rejected a job he wasn't offered and villa were happy to let him do it

He spoke to the people he wants in his backroom team on Sunday night and they all agreed to join him at Villa, and began looking at houses (online I presume) Monday.
Heard Gerrard was sacked on Thursday.
Started talking to Villa on Friday and Saturday
Sorted my backroom team out on Sunday
Began looking at houses on Monday
Saying goodbye to Villarreal on Tuesday

When Newcastle asked him, they were bottom of the table and most people thought they were going down.

No chance we’d go for Bielsa, nobody is that stupid at the Villa. If it is a serious link I’d be surprised, probably just somebody saying it to p#ss the Leeds fans off because he’s out there but he’s not the level we should be looking at.

Bruceball relied on Jonathan Kodjia and Albert Adomah, so it always had the potential to be entertaining
Bruceball and entertaining in the same sentence.

Forest are SO shit, why are we allowing them to attack so much and getting into a panic whenever they do?
I haven’t seen a Villa squad this low on confidence for a very long while.
Thank God for Ashley Young.
Probably been reading VT.

What as goal by Young.
Some are going to be devastated by that
