Unlucky today, we went all out to score goals and give ourselves a chance which we did and nearly got a result.

unlucky but probably should of bolstered the midfield by maybe taking off a forward as we still had an unused sub but was a good performance and once again we get the kick in the balls near the end  :/

Lambert did fine today givin what he has to work with. we could of set up like we would under Mcleish today and lost 2 or 3 nil without having a go.  Lambert has had to sign 9 players with 20 odd million and he cant pay any of them more than approx 25k per week.  how was he supposed to have a major impact this season with that kind of strategy from the board? 

he is in the worst job in the premier league and it will be a miracle if we stay up with the defence we have no matter who the manager

we didnt play like absolute shit today and we didnt get hammered, which are both positives.   at least we are showing fight and hopefully the bit of luck we need will start coming cus we need it with our lightweight dodgy defence..

The back 3 will always be stretched to cover the whole penalty area, especially if one of the CBs (Baker) is caught out on the wing double teaming with a WB (who never gets in the PA) trying to block a cross.

Lowton took up the 3rd CB position, filling-in for Baker. With 4 at the back he wouldn't have done that and would have been closer to Cabaye. I don't blame Lowton or Westwood for not blocking that shot, it's the formation.

so you expect bennet to of pushed in to the peno box andleave newcastle with 2 players on the wing? it was bad defending. cisse didnt make an amazing run. it was an individual error not the system.

the midfielders should of been out to block.cabaye. newcastlehad **** all chances and both there goals were caused by our inexperience .

in your second picture lowton was right to take that position as the cross came from the far side. its the CMF that should be picking up the likes of cabaye and getting a block in when our defence gets pushed back.

the first picture was bad marking by baker. bennet is marking there winger. theres no excuse for baker not preventing that through ball by being tighter to cisse. it was schoolboy defending. again our defence wasnt helped by our midfield

yeah its nothing to do with alot of the players being shite and not taking responsibility... players get away with so much while the manager takes all the criticism. he basically just toldit how it is. he plays 3 CBs in the hope it will make us harder to beat but our young CBs are crap at this stage.

we wouldnt be able to play like we did in the secondhalf every game. no team could, you would end up with countless injuries and suspensions.

our squad is shit especially in defence

the manager can only work with what hes got. baker should be ashamed of himself for his marking for cisse goal. other than that newcastle didnt create **** all. ye they bossed midfield like every team does against us due to having lightweights in there.

we needed experienced players at the start of this month and im sure lambert could see that just like everyone can but the board and owner are obviously being extremely stubborn and idiotic in their strategy.

we should of won tonight. we were the better team and had some great chances if a couple of them went in it would be a different story on here but thats football for ya

Its ok having 23m to spend when you can give players decent wages but when your restricted to having to get players in on shit wages then it obviously makea a big difference. the biggest mistake lambert made was taking this job in the first place.

newcastle got 1 decent chance in first half and scored a cracker. we hit the post and then mauled them second half. the main thing that keeps costing us is our lack of another decent CB and a proper midfielder that breaks up play. blame the manager all ye want and he isnt blameless but he needs proper backing to bring in the players we need

too many players with no bottle in our squad. it takes longer than a few months to sort that shit out. lambert got a reaction out of them so fair play and hopefully the players realise what it takes now. keep baker at LB, hes shit at attacking but at least he weighs more than 5 stone and can battle.

we did everything but equalise and showed the fighting spirit thats required to stay up so hopefully we can build on that. fair play to the manager for getting a reaction from the players. needs to carry it into the next game

there is a wage structure at the club that prevents the manager from signing any real quality experienced players.  wake up and see it for what it is. blame the board and owner.  lambert was a fool to take the job in the first place. 

you sign young inexperience and when things go bad they dont know how to get out of it

gonna be great being able to sign a midfielder to save us but only problem is that player cant earn more than 25k yipee. so lets get some league 1 quality into the team....
