    Well he has scored a lot of goals in the spanish second division with Murcia (?, not sure there) where he is on loan from Udinese. He has reportedly attracted interest from Real Madrid. With Mon and ISM been away to many games in europe there might be some truth in this one. According to wiki,he's 6ft 5in,which makes him perfect as backup for carew.And because,he's spent the last season playing in the segunda division,i think he wouldn't mind being on the bench and being a squad player.At 22, he can learn from carew as well.sounds good except i've never seen him play.Nevertheless,in MON i trust.

    I'll point out the fact that Jlloyd Samuel received dogs abuse for quite a few games because of a couple of fatal errors.... :? True,but Jlloyd was absolute shite and his attitude wasn't been encouraging or enthusiastic, he didn't seem interested.Hendrie's also received stick but he's kinda deserved it.Calling him a bluenose was totally unacceptable though.However,I don't believe in abusing your own players when they're playing on the pitch.I don't mind constructive criticism but I can't stand when fans just out and out abuse their own players.

    Jesus!!!!! Look at his reaction. The fans have done that to him! The fans gave him so much shit that if it was me I would of considered quiting football. poor lad looks so pissed off and unhappy even tho he just scored a goal!Come to the villa,we'll treat you right.We'll give you some of the lovin that you're cravin!!!Shammers are scum,they should be in the championship.Oh well,their loss is our gain.That is if NRC comes to villa,which i fully expect him to.

    i think the signings that we are the closest to completing are bellamy,taylor,and NRC.Would be delighted to see all of them at the villa.Of course,we still have some "big name" signings to look forward to.That is the assumption i got from reading storey-moore's comments.

    As much as I'd love SWP at villa,I can't see it happening.Towards the end of the season,he was getting a run out in the team and was performing well.Talking about bidding for players we didn't get, how abou Milner?

    If we sign Gordon,NRC,Bellamy,Taylor and Jagielka, we would have a massive british contingent in our squad but i also expect us to sign non-british players as well(sneijder,van der vaart).It is interesting to see that Gordon,Jags and NRC are the captains of their respective clubs.Taylor also captained portsmouth some time this season i believe.If we managed to get all theses players we'll have a team full of leaders.On wiki,it says that Jags can run 100m in 10.32 seconds,making him one of the fastest defenders in the league faster than rio and terry.Interesting.......

    if we get bellamy then our strikers would be gabby,bellamy,moore,carew.If touch wood,carew gets injured and misses a huge part of the season,does this mean we will play without a targetman?The rest are all under 6 feet.Unless we sign a targetman as backup but that would leave us with 5 strikers.

    Because Taylor can play comfortably as both left mid and left back he would be a very useful addition to the squad.If we play 4-4-2, he can play as left back and barry as left mid and they can interchange throughout the game when taylor goes forward barry can cover for him and vice versa.We can't rely on bouma to be fit for the whole season.After seeing the article with Barry commenting on Bellamy,I'm 100% sure he will be a villa player come next season.I'm pleased as Bellamy has undoubted talent.The thing I worry about is back up for carew.

    Can't think of any. Vincent Kompany from hamburg would be great.Young,playmaking central defender.

    Bellamy for 12 million is bullshit.As much as I think he would be a great addition to the squad, 12mill is way too much.5-6 mill would be just about right.For 12 mill we can get someone who is better value for money.Apparently we are looking for 2 defenders.Kompany(branded the best young technical defender in the world) and seitaridis anyone?Probly wouldn't happen but we can dream.....

    I believe we'll sign bellamy,taylor and barton.This would improve the overall quality of our squad and it wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg too(i think).Would like defoe too actually.Can't wait to see who our big name signings will be though.

    I don't mind us getting Taylor if that's what MON wants.It's just that Taylor isn't the sort of player that comes to mind when you imagine "top class signing".However,I haven't seen him play often so I'm don't really know how good he is.It's obvious Bellamy will be a villa player by next season as the stories just won't go away.Bellamy is quality.He has pace,can score loads and would a great partner for carew.

    Spot on.Moore has a good goalscoring record and he has been playing with a dodgy shoulder half the time.Strikers score goals.Moore scores goals.So why would you want to sell him or swap him?Given a proper run of games, he will develop into a great striker.If we want Bent, we can just pay for him.After all, we have money and are looking for a striker apparently.

    I guess if Manure really did bid, it would be gabby that determines if he will stay at the club as we don't need the money and aren't a selling club anymore.Hopefully he doesn't get carried away with one good season and start to think he should be in a top 4 club.

    Kewell's a quality player.Problem is he's always injured.Seriously doubt we'll be getting Bent.Looks more likely that we'll be getting Defoe or Bellamy.

    If we sign sneijder and appiah i'd be delighted.We seem to be always linked to kallstrom.Graham taylor was reportedly interested in him when he was manager.Kallstrom,Appiah,and Sneijder would make our midlfield top 6 quality at least.

    F365 is linking us with Fenerbahce's midfielder Stephen Appiah.He is the captain of the Ghanaian national team and was voted one of the top 10 all stars of the 2004 olympic football tournament.Impressive list of achievements including helping Juventus to a Serie A title.Definitely in the "world class" category.Hope this isn't just a rumour.

Who does Fred play for and what position?Can't say I've heard of him unless he is the brazilian Fred who used to lay for Melbourne Victory.Signing someone like Antunes would be great or the club.We need cover for the leftback position as Samuel's leaving and Antunes can be Bouma's understudy.

    yes,please.Would cost us a lot though.He went to Atletico for 12 mill Euros last season.Plus, he was in my eyes,player of the tournament for Euro 2004.Chelsea seem to be interested in him though.Should try our luck and put in a bid for Daniel Alves.He's also a great rightback.
