Sceptical....It seems they are looking for a huge sum....to play in a league of much higher standard defenders....who close you down for fun.

look it might work, but the risk is high.

Lets not overestimate how good PL fullbacks are - apart from the top 4/5, are they really that good?

The more better/tricky players we have, the less the attention they'll give Grealish. No more 'doubling up' on him without leaving gaps and exposing themselves in other areas of the pitch.

Buying someone like Benrahma, who is pacey, will make opposition full backs think twice about supporting their own attacks attacks because they could get exposed on the counter. Benrahma on a one on one situation will more then likely come out on top a lot more then not.

  2. Some of you are being very negative.

This guy absolutely has the quality to step up. A few of you might have only seen Benrahma's performances in the last few weeks - but he has been brilliant throughout the season.

It has been a long season and even though the COVID break happened, when he came back he was still ripping it in the league.

He really is in the 'Mahrez' fold - quick, great footwork, and an eye for goal and can assist. If him and Grealish and one other from Buendia, Eze, Rashica, etc mixed in with Dougie and McGinn - wow what a midfield we'd have.

I've never really watched him play but is he REALLY this good?

I might have to head to Youtube, I see he has been mentioned loads but he must be some players to be "twice the player Benrahma is".

  4. Just bought Origins about 2/3 weeks ago for a tenner on Amazon. So far, it's been brilliant. I think I'm about 60% of the way through the main quests.

The map is huge, and when I finally got to Giza to see the Pyramids it was class.

Did anyone see the Mikey Garcia fight against Vargas? He certainly went some way to redeeming himself after his poor showing against Spence.

There's talk of him fighting either Pac or Crawford, tbh, I would give him a much better chance with either than he had with Spence.

I did. Great performance by Garcia!

I honestly would put konsa below both Engels and Hause in the pecking order.

For speed and ability on the ball alone, I'd up Konsa above Hause. Hause is a monster in the air tho.

  7. Some of you guys are crazy!

The full blooded challenges and determination alone is worth his inclusion in the team alone.

He's a valued member of the team. Defensively I think he is quality - offensively his final ball needs to be worked on. Remember this is his first season in the PL - let him adjust.

I think you are right but what about Drinkwater?

Think he was a replacement for McGinn, and a gamble.

It hasn't paid off so far but he still has a part to play. He'll be our 4th choice DCM/CM along with Hourihane so will be rotated with Nakamba, Luiz and McGInn.

Sorry mate - but there are no facts that show Fury is a bigger draw in the world then AJ. Look at this fights against Otto Walin, Schwarz, and Pianeta just to see how much a draw he is. Poor viewing figures, even when some of them are on ESPN+.

Even the first fight against Wilder did about 220k-250k buys, in the US.

    UK PPV Records

    1. Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz II – 1.6m

    2. Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko (2017) – 1.5m

    3. Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker (2018) – 1.45m

    4. Floyd Mayweather vs Ricky Hatton (2007) – 1.15m

    5. Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye (2011) – 1.14m

    6. Tony Bellew vs David Haye II (2018) – 890,000

    7. Anthony Joshua vs Carlos Takam (2017) – 887,000

    8. Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquaio (2015) – 876,000

    9. Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor (2017) – 874,000

    10. David Haye vs Tony Bellew (2017) – 775,000

If Fury can't do record numbers in his own country, how do you expect him to do it worldwide?

I think your wrong there  mate. If your talking about the UK  then arguably AJ but globally Fury is a much bigger draw than AJ

Worldwide to casual viewers AJ doesn't mean much. Fury is good telly and entertaining.

What? Mate you really are deluded LOL. If you think Fury brings more audience then AJ Worldwide then that is a joke.

His win over Wilder has brought in viewers - but lets not get it twisted, Boxing isn't even one of the US' biggest sports. It's probably number 7 or 8 of their sports. Wilder isn't even that well known in the US.

  12. Now people are complaining that one of our most influential players actually demands his team-mates do their best, and takes charge?

WOW. Some of our fans deserve relegation LOL.

I have warmed to Fury over the past year. Or I have forgotten that he a homophobic asshole. Regardless as it stands, he is the draw in any AJ Fury bout and it's him that should be demanding 60/40. He is the one that will attract PPV numbers.

    He isn't though?

AJ is the cash cow. In any fight between AJ and Fury, AJ will be the A-Side and will probably get more, although in this case it should just be 50/50 for the biggest boxing fight in British history.

AJ Made £65m for his last fight - Fury and Wilder made approx $20/25m each. in terms of PPV sales, I'm pretty sure AJ is the only British fighter to break the 1m PPV buys multiple times in the last 15 years or so.

In the imaginary world where do do sign Benrahma and Buendia AND keep Grealish, I'd imagine Luiz would be the one to drop onto the bench from our strongest 11.

Let's say we could bring in an established Premier League defensive midfielder and plonk him next to McGinn in midfield, then that could give Grealish, Buendia, Benrahma & Samatta the licence to roam around them. But I'd imagine it's highly unlikely we would be able to bring in an established Prem DM (20-30m), Buendia (20-30m) & Benrahma (25-35m), while we also will want to improve our defensive options.

Personally, if we stay up and keep Grealish, I think we'll bring in the following:

1 back-up full back that can play left or right (Young, 'James Justin' type to push Targett for his leftback spot)

    1 central defender (Hause replacement)

1 winger/ wide forward (eg: Benrahma/ Buendia. El Ghazi/Trez upgrade)

    1 CM

    Absolutely spot on.
