Despite winning the 2021 Copa America and the Golden Glove, despite winning the 2022 World Cup and Golden Glove, despite being awarded the 2022 Best Goalkeeper in the World, and despite winning the 2023 Yashin Trophy... he's still criminally underrated by football fans and the media in general - it's crazy.

I don't know how some people find the energy to wake up in the morning, with such defeatist attitudes.

Can anyone enlighten me to who the dour commentator is on my stream? Never a good thing to say.
Why isn't Hendrie commentating?
If your watching the Optus stream, I think its Efan Ekoku. He's always dour when I've heard him.

Just as long as it's better than the movie they're onto a winner.
Movie? What movie?
Jokes - I know they made a movie but it was such an abomination that I'd rather forget it exists

No need to apologise
I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but the original was so good that they were bound to not stick the landing in places.
I agree the casting looks good, and so does the bending.
As I said in my original post, I consider the animation one of the best cartoons I've seen, so I had high hopes for this. Especially after the trailers, I was all aboard the hype train. But yeah it didn't live up to my expectations unfortunately. Was still "ok" though, and I'm interested to see how it progresses if they continue with the next season.

Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender - The original cartoon is one of my favourite animations of all time, but this adaptation is hit and miss for me. Casting seems on point, and watching some of the scenes remade in live action are just as I'd imagined them, but I was left questioning what the writers' logic was in changing certain elements and combining plot lines. Not sure if a second season has already been green-lit, but I'd still be keen to see it continue.
Green Eye Samurai - Amazing visuals, story and voice performances. Really enjoyed it.

Palace would be nuts to go for Southgate after Hodgson. He's just a younger version.
Can't see anyone going for him in the Prem anyway, not good enough for top 6, an being how highly he thinks of himself, he'll probably be to expensive for any others, thinking he's worth 12m a year. Plus I bet he don't even pay for his waistcoats at the FA, everything paid on expenses, another reason he wants to stay

Watkins will only be happy if he is the sole striker on the books at Villa for the men's, women and all youth teams combined.
Plot twist: Watkins is Duran's agent.

We were getting a nose bleed sitting in 2nd position on the ladder at 2-0 and couldn't handle it.

What's happening with the shirts btw? Did they solve the drenched shirts issue?

I think he does it as a panto act, he's just keeping the attention going.
This is absolutely it. It's now a running joke that he "hates" Villa, cos he's usually on a Football Weekly podcast straight after a good Villa performance, just so Max and co, can ask him what he thought of it.

What was his conclusion?
I don't think what Ornstein said is so bad. He speculates whether larger clubs could come in for Unai, because he may become a "victim of his own success". But then says that the club are calm and confident about him staying and he'll succeed with us.
Here's the clip:

Thought Darren Lewis was quite complimentary about us here.

There was an image doing the rounds on Twitter after the Spurs match with Ange and Unai having a chess match, with Unai winning at the end.
I got similar vibes from this game where it was move and counter-move from Unai and Pep.
Emery is a chess Grandmaster.

You been watching the games? Any decent talent you seen?
Only been watching highlights, but as HanoiVillan said, both Osako and Muto who are the main attacking threats, are both over 30.

I've been keeping an eye on Vissel Kobe since the news of the partnership was announced.
For anyone interested, there are 2 more rounds of the season left.
Vissel currently sit top of the league with a 2 point gap between them and second place Yokohama F Marinos.
Looks like it could go right down to the wire.

I've been lurking on this thread for a while, reading all the various thoughts and opinions.
For the knowledgeable posters, can I ask what Iran has to do with any of this? What's their goal and why are they so keen on destabilising the region?

Getting worried that we haven’t hit our stride at all this season, but we get a point. Saw flashes but I want to see us dominate games. Nevertheless, in years gone by, we would have capitulated so we showed some grit today.
Surely it shows how far we've come, when we're sitting in 5th place, but haven't hit our stride yet, as you say. Just imagine once we do.
