  1. I will do a man-wee when this is confirmed.

How West Ham fans are so happy with this signing is beyond me, considering how much they bemoaned Big Sam's style when he started I cant think of a defender who is going to buy into that more than Collins. He'll do well under Sam tbf but bloody hell are they going to have some dire football (and defending) to watch next season.

  2. 'Trolling' in this manner is an offence, it usually takes a hell of a lot to get a conviction because usually the perpetrator is anonymous or whatever, or people dont usually report it as a crime. As millions of people saw the tweets and it was in no means anonymous it wouldnt surprise me to see something happen here.

That said, whilst what Knight said was vulgar, it wasnt as bad as a lot of other 'trolls' do in the rare cases a conviction is reached.

  3. The Tick...Tick...Thursday deals, whilst being horribly named, are usually pretty good and they didnt do much for the stadium last season, yes I know McLeish would've been a factor, but even still the football is the main thing. Prices weren't too bad last season if you used the deals available to you.

Also, even though general tickets were still quite steep (without the deals), a lot of season ticket holders were not happy about the deals and prices and threatened to not continue their season ticket and just go for the deals each week.

Whilst cheaper tickets would be great they have no guarantee of selling out the stadium (although attendance and atmosphere would likely rise) and if attendances rise by 20% (6000-8000 people, still alot!) but prices fall by 33% Randy/Paul would be pinning their hopes on those 6-8k people clawing back the remaining 13% on extra beverages and snacks inside the stadium and there's 0 guarantee that that would happen, as generally speaking if the extra people turning up have waited for cheaper tickets they may also not want to spend the high food/drink prices inside the stadium (or wait in the queues).

So eventually we'd lose revenue and piss off current ST holders.

From an atmosphere point of view it would be great though, in theory.

  4. Hopefully Weimann will just concentrate on his finishing and his positioning, thats his talent, and if he can hone it then we'll have two very good poachers at the club, can't see Weimann becoming a complete striker but a good poacher definitely if he works on it.

Ideally, he'll be Darren Bent + a Great Workrate.

  5. We got nowhere near consistently selling out last season, why extend the ground? It would be great for us and if we managed to start selling out a lot and need a bigger ground, then great but when we were averaging 30k last season we dont need a 50k+ stadium yet. Even if the North is atrocious.

  6. ^ Not really, he did in a few games. His most common formation was:

    --------GK

    RB-CB-CB-LB

    -------DM

    ----CM--CM

    -------AM

    ----Str--Str

with the fullbacks providing the width. He changes his teams and formations a lot though so he doesn't really have one set way of playing. But the above, very narrow (bar fullbacks) was the most common formation and I think he used it around 25 times last season for Norwich.

  7. I think he's more of a limited passer, give it to the guy next to/infront of him. He's just able to successfully pass. Still think Clark would be the more mobile defender to take the ball forwards but having 2 defenders who know how to pass can only be good.

  8. The Feyenoord fan earlier mentioned that Vlaar does lots of short passes (thankgod). Somebody on twitter has just posted this stat:

Of Players to attempt atleast 100 passes at Euro 2012, only 5 players had a better pass success rate than Ron Vlaar's 93.4% success rate.

It doesnt say which players, but it doesnt really matter. A 93% pass success rate vs Collins 2% hoof-success rate. Easy choice.

  9. There is no problem with it but there are a group of posters that have to find a problem with everything. It's tiresome.

No, what actually is tiresome is people moaning that some people have different opinions to theirs. The whole reason for this sites existence is to debate, if you don't like reading what other people have to say, why are you here?

I enjoy the debate. I just dont enjoy every single posters posts, which I imagine other people feel the same about other posters and I imagine there are some who dont enjoy my posts. The posts I dont enjoy is when people have a negative point of view in every topic they post in, I enjoy the differing opinions or, as you kindly pointed out, I wouldn't be here.

I have no problem with somebody being wrong, I mean, having a different opinion to me at all. No problem with negative posts or unhappy posts but never-ending negativity and whinging is tiresome and I believe there a couple of posters who are overly negative and those (small, vocal minority group of posters) are ones I dont enjoy.

Like I said, I imagine the same posters, or others, probably dont enjoy my posts. And thats fine, it creates debate.
