  1. To be fair, all the players are really playing for is to stay top of the bottom half. No chance of getting past 11th because Chelsea seem to have a vice like grip on 10th. You can tell they’ve got one eye on next season already, but we’ve got Steven Gerrard to thank for our season being over by March. Gonna be a long two months.

I know what you mean but generally it isn’t half hour difference, it can be much more than an hour for some on bad days which we’ve had some with the trains recently and I suppose for those with families it could be a big deal.  I’m there for the full game because I can.

My issue is those that go down for half time after 35/38/40 minutes, I know the service is shocking but if you are that desperate for food and drink then you have issues, why not just have food before the game starts.  I go to the toilets at half time and have no issues in 15 minutes.  It’s just annoying when the rest of us are trying to watch a game, I know my mate missed a goal recently because the people in front had to get up for people moving early, which is unfair.

That pisses me off so much. All game yesterday people kept getting up throughout the game and it’s like why bother coming if you’re just gonna leave your seat for most the game? It’s very selfish to the people around you also.

Ye no I get it to some extent. It's just that the last ten minutes is effectively the deciding phase of the game. If you've committed to being out for 6 hours on a Saturday for the football, what difference is six and a half hours?

To be fair I used to just go to the pub after 😂

It fascinates me how empty the ground is towards the end of the game. On 85mins about half of the fans in our section were starting to leave. As we move into the 5mins of injury time another quarter left. There was literally one quarter of our block left at the full time whistle.

Surely this isnt people needing to be somewhere straight from the game. It just seems odd to me when the game is in the balance that you dont want to see the outcome. I mean I suppose it doesnt matter whether you're there or not, you cant impact the outcome. Its bizarre as to the volume of people though who dont want to see the conclusion.

You seen the train station after full time ? Personally I drive, but when I used to get the train if you don’t leave before the final whistle you won’t get home until the following Saturday.

Villa are just absolutely miles ahead of them. Considering the shite we’ve been through in the time period of their demise post-Moyes it really speaks volumes about how they’re run.

I totally agree. I think my hate of them comes from when we had that bit of rivalry with them for 5th spot. Their fans were odious and cocky and I’d just love to see them go down 😂

  6. I went yesterday - I thought the atmosphere was quite good considering we are mid table and playing for basically no more than pride with no cup runs under our belts.  We ain’t gonna be rivalling the likes of arsenal for atmosphere when they’re sat at the top of the table and we are top of the bottom half 😂 I think the atmosphere matches the team currently and I have no complaints.

  7. I tried for days and days to get tickets to this match. Any seats with a decent view had long gone by 5.02pm the Monday they went on sale. I checked for days, and weeks in the hope a ST might have given one up. I didn’t get one despite my dedicated efforts. And my god am I glad I didn’t. I don’t mind going to games where we lose but to lose like that I’d have been fuming had I’d been there. Gutless.
