We miss Pau so much. Distribution out the back is horrible.
My fear is even Pau coming back won't magically change things, too many of the other players have just dropped their standards far too low. Not sure what has happened, we all know they can play better. Maybe it's a mental thing.

Howe has Unai's number, how he doesn't realize the high line doesn't work assistant them
-
Bereft of ideas, don't know how to find a man in the box. No shots at all, quite pathetic so far
-
Newcastle know how to break our high line, they did in pre season and the return fixture, going to be a tough game. I'd take a shitty 1-0 to get us back on track

I'm sick of it. So utterly sick of it. That people think finishing 4th is preferable to actually winning the FA Cup is everything that's wrong with football. In fact everything that's wrong with modern life. I hate it. All I want is to see John McGinn lifting that cup above his head at Wembley as the rapturous crowd go wild.
**** 4th place being some kind of utopia.
It's just a matter of opinion dude, as simple as that

From when I was a young kid I dreamed of the glory of 4th.
Me and my mates would play 4th place doubles in the street.
It was all we'd talk about on sleepovers till we fell asleep.
My mate Dave used to talk about 3rd place sometimes but he was mental.
That's cool for you, but imo getting 4th propels us to new heights over winning the fa cup. Just my opinion. I want to say my club has made champions league

Noiice, seems like what we need to break these low block teams. A welcome addition

Finally something interesting....erm I know nothing about him lol
Edit. A forward that can play across the front three but predominantly as a 2nd striker from the left. Exactly what we need, he sure has the physique and from the 1 minute I've seen so far can strike a ball

It was the rumour that I was criticising (complete fabricated nonsense) but sure… I’ll slag this guy off too because he quotes any rumour from any source… the odd one might have some credence though…
He’s just aggregating links or rumours, they are not his own…
This is likely more BS but something or a player to discuss/debate at least…
Struggling to know what to post here tbh
May as well shut the thread if we’re just gonna go with “no one knows who we’re signing, we aren’t signing anyone etc” but…
the complete BS, fake, senseless, stupid rumours are annoying too so
I’m lost
It’s at least good to have something to discuss I suppose…
what I probably enjoy most is theorising on players who might be good targets (quality and value), fit in with the transfer strategy we appear/seem to be employing, and discussing how they would fit into and improve that first 11 or the squad…
we tend to mostly just bring up PL based players and names here* though which would be exorbitant in terms of fees and wages and don’t seem to correlate with the setup we have and signings we’ve made… I don’t envisage us shelling out on massive fees and massive wages from within the same league (we don’t even have that capacity really) who wouldn’t even be starters or better than we have…. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable stance…
*Rather than the sorts of players Monchi and Unai would apparently target/prefer, my personal assumption is that we’re looking all over for the ideal combinations of value and quality… but if there’s a “star” or potential star player that could enhance our first 11, we may go for it if a reasonable deal can be negotiated… similarly to Pau and Diaby…
Nedeljkovic signing is a good indication of our plans too…
La Liga links seem more likely, considering Unai and Monchi’s experiences there, but again… they have to be financially feasible and reasonable…
and then… there’s FFP but… I don’t wanna go into that again , n it’s difficult to know our exact situation with that
oh well, it’s supposed to be a bit of fun isn’t it?
Right?

Have we stalled on the north stand because of FFP? Just reading up on Evertons latest FFP woes
Quote, alongside losses incurred from the stadium build at Bramley Moore Dock, mean that the club have fallen foul of Premier League rules again,
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-transfer-news-live-ffp-28445538
Would make sense if that is the case and we have to operate within FFP.
I seem to recall stadium renovations but being part of FFP but I'm confused now

Everyone is different. That works with some, doesn’t with others. I only sit with him because he will not go to sleep any other way. And if it was taking 3 or 4 hours I wouldn’t do it. Sometimes it takes 90 minutes but most nights he’s asleep in about half an hour.
everyone says let him cry it out. But we had two days where we just left him and after nearly 4 hours both times I gave up. He was sweating, distressed, he’d thrown everything out of his cot, screaming. It just didn’t work.
All kids are different I think. You’ve just got to find something that works and go with it
That's normal to me with my boy, just become routine. Here only 3, will try and phase him out of this slowly but for now his sleep is more important for me.

Meh if a game. I may be in the minority but just don't give a damn about the fa cup, would rather a b team play and keep the first team fresh for Newcastle. Rather we focus on getting 4th and keeping the calendar free

Lenglet fouls him otherwise that player makes him off side

Was the right decision though

That looks really nice, if it was just the lion without the Aston Villa at the bottom I think it'd be nice

Why is this on Sunday. Wait another day to watch the Villa

Could Adidas come in and say the new badge looks shit? It'll make their kit shit too

That's only against teams that park the bus. That's not happening every week.
I can't understand why some people on here go out of their way week in week out to write off our chances.
I wasn't writing us off, just acknowledging why others outside of Villa may not fancy us from what they see in those games.
We don't usually go out all guns blazing so it may be portrayed as not easy on the eye but I understand why Unai does it that way and appreciate we play the patient game

Everything seems to have gone downhill since the Kamara sending off. Even with Pau back we may still struggle if the rest of the team can't step up
Everyone was saying we need Tielemans back but he's back now and hasn't really changed anything.
Unai seriously needs to think about how to beat Sheffield United as it's going to be men behind the ball stuff again.
Not enjoying this padestrian pace we play at
