  1. It's been a while since there has been a snippet of decent takeover rumours so hoping Abdulazizz is correct with his source, does tie in nicely with the Telegraph rumour section.

Hope Randy can lower his asking price, hope he serves the club as the "great custodian" that he is!!

  2.

In a conversation with Omar, Lynch is saying that his sources are saying "interesting stuff" regarding our finances. God knows what that means?

Yup.  He also says that good news for fans is that he will have news on interest on buying Villa.  Sounds like he knows someone else who is keen to buy us.

So no actual firm bid or negotiations taking place at the moment, deal is far far away, think Lambert has to get on with it hence the Senderos purchase, will be a very late takeover i reckon

Im getting really confused about said what ......and whats a wind and what isn't .....

KWAN said a single buyer is lined up & haggling over the price

Everything else is BS ? - is that correct ?

You're Kwan the right track anyway

some are suggesting it was death by cox

Good to know...at least it offers a Kwantum of Solace

  4.

If AEG, their interest is only going to be on the basis of having Villa as the anchor tenant for a stadium competitive with Wembley. Whether that means the NEC or knocking most of Aston down to build a new stadium and parking lots near VP....

I wouldn't have a problem if it meant knocking most of Aston down as it is a dump anyway.

Aston may be a dump but we have a Premier League team named after our town, one of the best University's named after our town, have a motorway named after us and have the all famous HP sauce originating from Aston!!

  5. Enough with the pessimism, we will not be relegated.

    Fulham won't win against Stoke

    Cardiff won't win against Newcastle

    Norwich won't win against Chelsea

    Villa will win against Hull

Just think how much space these teams are going to leave open for the home team to capitalize and score!

    Keep the faith guys!!

  6. Although he's playing shit I think he still needs to be starting against Swansea. I don't think any manager, given how our injuries have gone, would drop him right now, especially given our predicament

  7. Gutted!!

Think we have enough in us to grind out one win out of the remaining fixtures, Fulham one being the main one, win this and we are safe

Gabby and Weimann as the front two instead, no more hoofball, time to pass and move.  We've won without Benteke before we can do it again

  8.

Benteke said Bacuna is an offensive player but currently filling in at RB.

Dunno - seems like a nice bloke to me - always smiling and enjoys his football - maybe needs a new deodorant if that's the case. :P

    i lol'd

  9. Right I think we have a very good foundation to the team now, and looking back now, this is probably what PL has been trying to achieve.  Now for next season if we can purchase 3-4 players of top quality, possibly keep Benteke (probably a long shot) then we should hopefully have a better season than this.

    New CB (cover for injuries)

    Bertrand

    DM

    AM

Winger who can play on either side (come on for Gabby or Weimann)

I really hope Grealish and Carruthers are sniffing around the first team next year, time one of our young boys took the premiership by storm!!

  10. We cannot really deny him a move, he's given 2 years to us which is fair play, you can hardly blame him as he is a class above anything we have at the moment.  We all wanted him to stay the extra year and he has, think we should let him go and keep on to the good memories of him, hope there isn't the nasty reaction like last summer if he were to leave

  11. His role in breaking up play so far up the pitch is pretty important considering we do not have a battling DM to do that job, if he could only add some creativity to his play then we would have a well rounded midfielder.  For the system we play, i think KEA is showing signs of progress.

Our players need some training ground drills on how to cross a ball, beggars belief how poor our crosses are sometimes, these are premiership footballers for god sake

  12. For me he was my man of the match, I know tekkers will get the credit, but KEA did all the nasty work in midfield today, his closing down, interceptions and tenacity stopped Norwich from gaining momentum, hope he keeps this up

  13. First time im going to play the Lambo post match bingo game, match up 4 of these quips and win a toblerone

    I thought we were excellent

    Hey, listen

    It is what it is

If you don't win it you don't lose it

    we were bang at it

We didn't have that bit of luck

I didn't think there was anything in that

We didn't deserve to lose that

we rise to the challange and meet it head on

We pick ourselves up and go again

I thought we were excellent - This line is nailed on

  14. Eric Cantona once described Didier Deschamps as a water carrier and that's what Westwood is to our team. Westwood is one part of the puzzle but can't be all three at once in our midfield so he will look much better when the other parts of the puzzle are put in place in our midfield but the manager will have to be given the funding to do that.

Agree with this but if we ever did purchase a battling DM, where does Delph fit in? Do not see him as an AM

  15. look, we are going down, I don't believe we will score even another ten goals before the end of the season, and here lies the problem, we are just not very good, at all. lambert or not, I am sick of the premier greed league and the constant depressing battle against relegation every season and the shite football we are served up EVERY week. lets find our level and start a fresh. while we stay in the premier league, nothing will change, the board, manager and chairman will still be here. the club will go on, we have gone down before and came back stronger every time, maybe relegation is what is needed to finally awaken this great sleeping giant.

No, would not accept relegation at all!

We really should be cementing mid table mediocracy and then build on from there, not going through relegation shite year after year.  Do not wish to take a further 10 steps backwards

  16. I've bitten my lip for far too long, I've tried to give Lambert as much support as possible but I just can't do it any more.  His style of football is just atrocious, it's simply painful to watch that kind of football, no direction, no tactics no plan b, i don't know who can replace him and part of me does not want him to be sacked, but this style of play is just turgid football, one dimensional football.  Newcastle were there for the taking, their confidence was rocked.

Sad moment yesterday was that I had this conversation with a mate and said even if we were to go 1-0 up, it'll just mean that we end up shutting up shop and sitting deep. I just hope we do not get relegated, struggling to see our next 3 points at the moment
