Yep I agree, we still had about twenty minutes to go as well if I remember correctly to get his yellow card. Later in the game fine but with so long left, he’s just asking for trouble.
Agree, we activated the head to the corner take an extra 5 seconds on the goal kick a good 15 minutes early. Worked out today but would have preferred 2-0 a lot more.

Perfectly reasonable point of view. I am on the other side. I regard rolling over and just accepting the obvious bias when it happens as small time and lacks critical thinking. But its all good, there is no one right way to support Villa.
Everyone complains and feels there is bias. However, that cup game against United was a blatant showing of how teams at the top get a different call VAR or not. Super proud of our 2-2 against them but wish we could have unequivocally destroyed them as we were the better team in both games. Also, my family are Villa fans through and through except for one brother who couldn’t take the heart breaks and chose Man U. Our time will come

The commentators on my broadcast immediately started talking about the responsibility of the players to not celebrate in front of oppositions fans.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
The commentators in the broadcast were so so. Tim Howard came out vocal at the half and said it was deplorable. He also said there was nothing wrong with the Villa celebration. They just got together and hugged it wasn’t like they pointed at the crowd or held hands to ears. And even if they did sing or chant or something. Despicable sore losers

We won. Certainly had them first part of the game. I though SG had us lined up and made subs the right way and time. We’ve never subbed Watkins off and need to start doing it. I don’t think you can really judge Ings as we were headed to the corner every time when he came on.
speaking of which we tried to slow the game way too early. That was a long time to head to the corner and punt it.
Buendia best player two games in a row. Exciting!

Best news yet. The fact a world class player like Emi signs a contract for that long shows our intent and fantastic behind the scenes setup. He knows what’s going on and believes in us.
keeping a consistent goalie is so important. One of the best in the game and such a fantastic person.

Sure great goals to game ratio
but he was a bit bitey

Big fat please no for me.
Once bitten twice shy babe.
Or twice bitten really the heck not excited about this throw in an unresolved rascism accusation babe.

I'm sure you're right. The targets are Bissouma and a cover 4th CB with a loan cover keeper added in.
…...
I might be wildly wrong, but I honestly expect Bissouma, a back up right footed CB and a loan keeper to be happening soon.
Wow Villabromsgrove the game’s afoot (where’s the Sherlock Holmes emoji when you need it or lesser known Henry V)

I like Cash but that cross/shot near the end when he concussed someone in the Holte end is pretty typical for the end product.
good tenacity, good speed up the line but he needs to spend practice just whipping the crosses in on the run.

I don’t remember Westwood dribbling around 2-3 of the opposition often.

Mings wasn’t close enough to Fred to whack the ball but knowing Mings aggressive play he probably would’ve clattered into him anyway drawing a yellow. Lol
Don’t get me wrong- I think Mings took an option to protect the box which makes some sense. However, when that pass came in he could easily have stepped forward and whacked the ball out. It’s not like Fred is a known speed demon.

Oh it’s definitely Sanson’s fault, but Mings could have fouled him but I’m nitpicking , I’m not one of those people who have a huge agenda against Mings, anyway other than the mistake he had a very good game , he’s on a different wavelength like Buendia, Digne and Coutinho in terms of vision and picking out a pass, other than the one that led to their goal .
He and Buendia were the only ones really able to navigate a congested center of the pitch. Based on his control and dribbling I think it would be Interesting to see him play where Luiz was. He did great till that pass.
I really like Mings but he could have whacked that ball out of play and avoided all the danger.

Just got back from the game.
We are determined to make things hard for ourselves.
Disappointing first half, a lot better second half.
Watkins continues to frustrate, no idea what’s wrong him. Ings pressed hard but got no chances, surprised he got took off instead of Watkins
Buendia had some frustrating moments but otherwise I really liked him and gave him MOTM.
Ramsey poor first half, great second half
Liked the look of Digne
Coutinho is going to be magic!
Mings lost the plot several times
Felt so sorry for Martinez
Ref was incredibly poor
Yeah Watkins just didn’t really try for any of those loose balls or 50/50 till Ings went off and he went front.

And its Ings. Unless we're on top. He's a passenger!
Have to agree. We looked so more balanced and dangerous when we pushed Buendia back up and had Watkins at the top.

Buendia just immense. His composure and ability to keep the ball and move forward when he has 2-3 people on him is immense.
JJ just class in the 2nd half. If we can gey him going at the start of the game wow!
Sanson had a good game until that pass. I’m sure that is a heart breaker for that to be your last kick.
Digne, so great to see him beat a player or two and good deliveries.
Coutinho, what a start and can’t wait to see him and Buendia, JJ start to read each other for those quick one two’s. That tumble into the goal was so close to being a skull cracker on the post.
Deserved to win but a great battle back after two mistakes.

Would love to see Coutinho start. From the SG interview I would guess we might see him 2nd half. Bring on him and Ings/Watkins to decimate the cheating in the last part of the game.

So, what do we think the unfair decision will be this time?
1) Incorrect penalty decision in favour of Manure
2) Villa denied a clear-cut penalty
3) Manure player should be sent off but isn't
4) Villa player sent off unjustly
5) Manure score a goal that should be disallowed by VAR
6) Villa have a goal unfairly disallowed by VAR
7) An other..
I am sure it will be something controversial!
8 ) all the above

Anyone know if there is a purchase clause? Good the wages are gone but seems we often keep loaning people out till the contract is done.
end of season he will have one year left right? Hopefully gets some game time, ups the price and we can sell.
thanks AEG! Some great memories.

Hopefully works out as well as when we bought Arsenal’s backup goalkeeper. You know- what’s his name
makes perfect sense to me. Back up RCB and RB.
