  1. As frustrating as things are, and never mind the fact that we gave McLeish time and support, we should support the team and back the boys as much as we can through the next 3 games, and then sort this mess out.

I will put this in simple terms for you to understand:

We have been 'supporting the team and backing the boys' all season (even in the Bolton game) and it hasn't had any positive effect on the results, league position or quality of football played.

Once the next 3 games have been played any protests (if people can be bothered to turn up to an empty VP after the season has finished) will be a waste of time as McLeish, Lerner, Faulkner and the players will have already **** off on their long summer holidays.

Did you even read my post? I wasn't even implying that we hadn't supported the team all season. In fact we were in great voice for 60 mins at the Bolton game, until we let two goals in the space of seconds.

And I'll put this in simple terms for you:

Protesting now won't make a blind bit of difference. Randy won't budge (see the backing of him on the website) and it will likely just affect the players in a negative way.

But it has made a difference. This week the media are starting to realise he was the wrong appointment and the board (bullshit or not) have had to come out with a statement as good as admitting defeat from the fans. Finally we have been noticed.

  2. I love it now its all coming out. Cant see McLeish being manager still next season. Just heard on the radio under no circumstances does Lerner want to be relegated, he still has much respect for the history of the club and seems to be only backing McLeish for the next 3 games.

  3. Protests started to late we have **** ourselves. We should have hounded McLeish at every home game since Christmas. To late now with one home game to go. If he is still here in the new season we have only ourselves to blame.

If we get relegated and I hear the board mention he has experience of getting teams back up, I sware I will use fire!!!!!!!!

  4. When you sell your best players you're going to struggle.

When you've got injuries to the entire spine:

    -Dunne and Collins

    -Petrov and Ireland

    -Agbonlahor and Bent

    you've really got little chance.

Win would really be unexpected tonight for two reasons.

    1. Pressure and lack of confidence

    2. The eleven players are as bad as anything in the premier league, with less shape and quality than Bolton.

Personally I don't blame McLeish - when the dust has settled and people look back and reflect on the team we actually have (and not some warped vision of Gary Gardner being 'real quality') they'll see that Lerner is the real villain of this season.

Still not bad enough to be in a relegation battle

Guys you was looking for someone who still supports McLeish. Here he is!

  5. Protesting is about letting McLeish and the board know we are not happy. At the moment it has been said there is a small minority that don't agree with McLeish. We need to let the media, the board and other football clubs know with a protest in the ground, that under no circumstances do we want McLeish as manager of our football club next season and he has zero support. If people are still thinking this is wrong, I care not, because as soon as we go a goal down at Bolton tomorrow night the fans I believe will go **** mental. UTV

  6. We are a small minority, we are not being heard. There are still more fans happy to keep him, this is the problem. We get carried away on this forum thinking everyone is anti McLeish. Look outside the box, not many can be bothered and are happy for him to stay and give him a chance. Someone said to me yesterday, "he can do nothing in 1 season", it so makes me mad. I told them there is not 1% of progress or development under McLeish. They said "give him time"......arrrrghhhhh!

Most of you have just proved this theory by not even responding to this. I dont think there is more than 25% of fans on here who would protest at a match. This is the problem, we can all talk about how shit he is (proof is over 900 pages) but when it comes down to action we all bottle it. Same situation at the ground. We will be seeing him at the start of next season I promise you. Its only a handful of fans who disagree with his management the board will be saying and we will only have ourselves to blame.

  7. I think its time to put all this crap about not coming to VP because of Mcleish, behind you for the last couple of games and get behind the team. They're going to need us, more than you think.

This will keep McLeish here. Hope you enjoy next season

  9. There were about 25000 villa fans in the ground yesterday. It looked to me only around 25% of them were interested in protesting singing anti McLeish. You would be amazed how many fans are happy to put up with and keep Mcleish for as long as his contract lasts I have spoke to a few. If he is here next seasom we only have us as fans to blame. I Think Lerner and co. dont even think there is a problem with fans hating McLeish.
