James Nursery has said Lambert is looking at strikers to replace Kozak. I hope to god he means on loan. What is the point in using what funds he has on an area where we already have adequate cover? Get a wide player in and it frees up Weiman or even Gabby to play up front if necessary. We are severely lacking in several other areas and the money we do have would be so much better spent in those areas. Strikers are the most expensive position to buy for, so if we were to get anybody worth getting, we could instead get some real creativity. If we had some creativity and the goals still weren't forthcoming, we could always recall Bent as a last ditch solution. I really don't think a new permanent striker is anything like a priority at the moment

I would like to see the 4th Champions League spot go to the winners of the FA cup, it would certainly bring some of the 'magic' back, some real incentive to win it. The way it is at the moment, Lambert has it spot on, there is no incentive for a club to win the FA Cup. It's great as a fan, but relatively insignificant as a club.

I think I must have been having a bit of a slow day today, I couldn't figure out for the life of me why I couldn't post in the main threads, thankfully I opened my eyes and spotted that I need to post an introduction to myself here first! I'm obviously still half asleep from the Christmas break! Anyway, my name is Lewis and I'm 24. I've been a Villa fan for as long as I can remember, my whole family are Villa fans so I used to get to go to Villa Park quite a lot when I was young, and I got the bug. I now go home and away, although I have given up my season ticket (with a very heavy heart as I genuinely had one of the best seats in the house) because I have moved to Harpenden in Hertfordshire. I tend to be a pretty positive fan and usually tend to have a 'Glass Half Full' attitude. Hopefully some of my positivity will rub off onto some of the more frequent contributors t the forum
