Stans a complete clearing in the woods, gives it the old massive Villa fan thing but he's so far out of touch to what 99% of Villa fans think at the moment it's unreal. Only ever replys or retweets people who agree with him. Did nothing for us as a player doing nothing for us as a fan.

WM sports bulletin didn't mention anything Mcleish being called to VP ((
Yep, Pete Colley has just reported its BS and that Randy is in London.
-
Apparently radio WM have reported that McLeish has been summoned to VP, probably bullshit or if true there giving him a pay rise.
-
As things stand we made not even need another point to stay up though...
Which could be handy as I'm not sure we will get another one.
Oh Christ this is depressing and still 270 mins of dross football to watch at VP, glad I'm doing the 25 mile walk for acorns last game of the season and not going to Norwich....it'll be less painful.
-
"we've had an amazing array of injuries"
jesus christ...the lengths this knob goes to to deflect blame away from himself is staggering
Glad it wasn't just me who nearly spat me beer listening to it.

I don't think VT is a true reflection of the overall feelings of the fan base.
Folk who write on VT are usually some distance away, not all, but many
That is not a sleight at VT .....I think fans who live close to the ground have a slightly different view of the value of the overall match day experience.
Just in the same way as the away fans have a slightly different view to the Home Fans.
Not all fans will be put off by the standard of the football on display.
But being as this poll was just for ST holders surely it shows some reflection?

lawro thinks lambert is being lined up in summer.
please god let this be true
Would love that to be true.
Me too, he's done a cracking job at Norwich. Perfect example of somebody working on a budget and getting results while still maintaining an attractive style of football.
No Mc jokes today I promise Richard.

We won't go down, but this poll is making rather horrible reading. Of course it's a small sample, and of course I'm sure a few avid anti-McLeish/Lerner-ites have voted to get their point further across and thus distorting the voting but even so, the club need to wake up and start reading these message boards.
Potentially as things stand, the money that we'd lose from compensating McLeish if he was to be sacked would pale in significance to the amount we'd lose in tickets and season tickets BECAUSE people don't want to watch us under his leadership. Very sad indeed.
I've been saying this for ages, but this just furthers it: like him or not (and this applies to Lerner as well as the fans), he HAS TO GO because his position is completely untenable due to him having absolutely no support. If the fans are this much against a manager he just has to be sacked. Why they gave him such a lucrative contract is just beyond me.
Agreed, it was madness taking him on in the first place but it would be complete commercial suicide to let him continue.

Come on one more vote then we're into to family fortunes territory and that's got to make it official!
-
Who would take Lee Clark?
I'd take Ken Clarke at the moment.

That won't change to such a severe degree that we lose an average of 12k people per match.
A few seasons ago our average attendance for home games hit 40'000 as we pushed for 4th, our current average attendance this season is 33'922.
People have over the last couple of seasons stopped attending or stopped attending as often as they were previously.
With the direction of the club, the manager, the football, the total lack of ambition and the growing criticism of Lerner I think this is a trend that is likely to continue.
It won't drop by 12k by next season but ST sales will fall and I think our average attendance next season will be far lower than 33k.
Agreed and i can see some embarrassingly low attendances when the not so glamourous teams come to town.

This, i've been going down the Villa for nearly 30 years and ST holder for most of that and i can't remember a time where it's such an effort to go and watch the club i love.
May I ask how you voted out of interest?
You certainly can Sir, i voted that i wont be renewing because of McLeish and thats down to the sort of football thats being served up and all the excuses that comes with it and i know we've had periods in the past with dire football but as i said i have no enjoyment in going at the moment.
I think it's great that the kids are getting a chance even thou it's more through necessity than anything else but i just hope their development and natural attacking instincts are not hindered with Mcleish negative style of football.
-
To be honest I don't know. There's no excitement or enjoyment of going down there anymore which I blame McLeish for (and by that respect I guess Lerner is the culprit for appointing him).

He can start with paying off McLeish's contract.
Agreed, letting him loose with funds is like letting Harold Shipman look after your Nan...no good will come of it.

Collymore tweeting that Randys going to make significant investment this summer.

Has Warnock ever crossed a half way line before?
-
well hopefully the players are a bit more upbeat than you lot
that said i do fear a spanking at anfield, it's almost traditional for us! still though, to mindlessly cling on to some sort of positives...
hopefully a few of our kids will grow a bit more today and show what they have been producing for the ressies and the youth team before that together. it's a shit state of affairs that we are relying on them to do it, but no reason why they can't. if they can get us a point away at liverpool (regardless of their form) it's a big scalp and hopefully will give them more confidence to coem out of their shells a bit more. i'd love to see this...
given
lichaj baker collins warnock
herd
alby ireland gardner bannan/zog
gabby
4-1-4-1 instead if 4-2-3-1 (or 4-3-3 as mcleish calls it?) and go for it big style.
i doubt that will happen though, anyone got some insight into line ups yet?
Lichaj and Hutton start as fullbacks gabby and heskey up front.
-
Warnock in midfield?? Going to be a long afternoon.
-
It still kills me that we signed Zat Knight and let Cahill go.

MON got us to the threshold of european competition, but we needed a bit more to actully cross that threshold and compete in europe on a regular basis.
and then treated it with utter disrespect and **** a lot of fans over especially the CSKA game
You can"t win them all,and McStupid is **** the fans the players the club off every week
he never competed in Moscow or Vienna and never told fans he was bringing a scratch team for the 1st game
Or Hamburg for that matter.

Ranieri's been sacked at Inter, get him get him now.
Funny. There is no way Ranieri would be brought here. Far too good for us.
I hate hearing this. Who is good enough, Holloway some people think, McCarthy anyone. Just who would we look at.
Whoever they are there onto a winner, we could have the love child of adolf hitler and pol pot and he'd be more popular than eck and probably have better knowledge of the game to be fair.

This unfortunately is true, perhaps Inter might fancy eck haha

I must have slipped the net cause he tweeted something about the Bilbao game being a good semi and I replied the last time he saw a good semi was over cannock chase peering through a window.
