  1. In a sick way id love to have seen what the season ticket numbers and/or gate numbers would have been like if he had stayed.

Id also be strangely interested what players he could have added to the team, to further stiffle any remaining skill and creativeness.

Back to reality...simply, thank god he has gone!

You are one dark, twisted son of a gun

I dont know if you have ever thought to yourself 'i wonder what would happen if i veered on to opposite side of the motorway'

...well this is one of those moments :)

Ha ha brilliant and ironic really because both scenarios have car crash wrote all over them :)

  3. Can we please get a priest in to exorcise this forum of his name, be gone demon be gone.

Says the only user on the forum who still has "McLeish Out!" as his avatar

Oops but scroll two messages up and i'll try and figure out hw I shake this off.

  4. Just seen on the bible that is twatter that hes retweeted somebody this morning with the hashtag #holty4villa. Seems to have upset the west Holland fans even more.

I think that had more to do with the fact that the person asking him for the retweet is doing a charity run in Carlisle. Holt is from Cumbria originally.

And yes there are Villa fans living in Carlisle as elsewhere in the County.

Was more making the point that he had upset Norwich fans rather than he's declared his undying love to Villa but thanks for informing me that there are Villa fans outside of the B6 postcode as I did start to wonder with only having a season ticket for 25 years.

  5. I had to laugh at this tweet as well...

    Mike Coles ‏@MikeColesUTV

Dave Whelan has given Aston Villa permission to talk to Norwich manager Paul Lambert #AVFC

    BTW,,,,,

If the news of Graham Taylor resigning at Watford today is true ...I wonder IF PF & RL have listened and are indeed going to appoint a footballing

    brain at AVFC.

    Just what's needed IMHO.

Never had a VT retweet, cheers Julie haha

  7. I s'pose that it is relevant to report that Randy Lerner has arrived in Birmingham, as predicted by the national press!

    Interviewing today?

I hope so, we need to have plans in place already and a list of managers drawn up at the very least.

Hopefully Lerner and Faulkner will have learnt from last year and have plans in place already. Last year was strange as we seemed slow off the mark and got caught out, even though it was obvious for months that Houllier wouldn't be able to carry on. Similarly it has been obvious for months that McLeish wasn't working out for us, and plans should already have been made in advance of the decision to remove him.

I suspect that plans are fairly well advanced.

I would be very surprised if we are still managerless by close of business Friday.

    e

But that is just me speculating, I am not an ITK person.

if its true that Faulkner was out in the states for 3 days last week with Randy you'd hope plans were afoot and I dare say Randy wouldn't fly in just to approach somebody so perhaps this could be sorted very quickly
