  1. Don't forget it also means were as good as Arsenal, which in turn means Southampton are better than Arsenal.

But Arsenal beat Southampton 6-1, meaning they are better......PARADOX!......the initial assumption was flawed.

  2. Based on current form, performance and results I think we will realistically get 5 points out of December

Stoke & Spurs we'll draw and we beat Wigan whilst losing to Liverpool and Chelsea .

That should keep us at about 16/17th.

If McLeish can fluke an away win at the Bridge I'm sure Lambert can mastermind one.

  3. The point is that if the performance against Utd counted for nothing because we lost (fair enough if that's your opinion), then it is completely hypocritical to criticise the performances against Reading and QPR when we got the points. You can't have it both ways.

  4. For me he has looked better when coming off the bench in games this season where he is fresh and can run at tired defenders and cause a nusense.

    .

I agree, I think he could be useful to bring on towards the end of games we are winning in, to give that extra bit of energy to chase down the ball. However it's no good if he's just going to give the ball away as quickly as he's won it, like he was against QPR.

He can definitely run non-stop for 30 minutes though and that alone is sometimes useful.

  5. Lescott says he's happy to wait for a chance at City, though of course you wouldn't expect him to say anything else.

"I've been fit for a couple of weeks now and while it was disappointing to be left out of the squads at Chelsea and Wigan, the manager has to pick a team and bench that he thinks can do a job on the day and I respect that. I'll just do my job, train hard and wait for my chance to get back in the team. In the meantime, I'll be rooting for the lads the same as if I was out on the pitch."

  6. Ribery is 500k+ I think :(

My Bundesliga team have nearly reached the ceiling, the only affordable upgrades I have left are Hummels & Neuer.

Robben and Ribery would complete the team but I haven't got a spare 650k :(

Yep mine too, next to buy is Piszcek at RB and Alaba LB (both pretty cheap) and then Reus at CF (though I do already have Mario Gomez who I really like).

After that there's plenty I could add like Ozil, Robben, Ribery, Lahm but they cost more than I will ever save up, so I might just buy loads of packs and hope to find Messi instead.

  7. I've given up on buying packs with coins, I just end up with bog average gold players that are worth little or nothing over their quick sale value.

UT does seem easier than Seasons. I would have made straight promotions to Div 1 if they hadn't closed UT when I was winning my promotion match! Pissing Div 2 this time though with almost the same squad.

I've gone for a German/Dortmund/Munich team. Lot's of pace. Lovely.

My PSN user is fightoff_your if anyone wants a game.

  8. The actual gameplay is the best ever IMO, but yes it has been a shambles. I still have to download my online pass from the PSN store before I can play it every time I turn on my PS3 or it says I am not eligible to play online.

I'm just lucky that my balls never disappeared.

  9. I said we'd score from one today when I noticed that Bannan had suddenly learnt how to take (some of) them properly. However it still didn't come from him!

Let's have always inswingers, Westwood on right, Bannan on left (still had at least 1 floaty and 1 hit the first man, but most looked deadly).

Hoodoo is over, let's have plenty more from now on. Tekkers, Vlaar, Clark etc. should be eating up goals from corners. I noticed on Sky that Laursen scored something like 11 goals in 90 apps for us. What a great help if our current defenders (or strikers for that matter!) could pitch in with goals like that.

  10. One was rained off a couple of years ago.

And wasn't Sunderland's rained off this season?

Plus England's in a brand new stadium a couple of months ago.

Could happen. But we have one of the best pitches in the league so I'd be surprised.

I know, Sunderland's was rained off at the start of the season, that was the joke I was eluding to. It's just pretty difficult to convey sarcasm on here, I'll try harder next time.
