  1. He was watching from the stands in lower Trinity. Went away when Baker got injured but stayed closer to the end than most in the 2nd half. Had his son there too.

  2. We would have very happily taken 6 points from Pool - Wigan, so it will be job done if we do beat Wigan in what is now a hugely important game. It's frightening how easily we capitualted though. It could have been 8 again if they'd have scored in the first.

However changing the tactics at when Baker went off (purely tactical, or did we not have enough defenders left?) and at HT looked like it really could have worked. That 10-15 minute spell was brief but encouraging. We don't look like we'll recover from going a goal down against a top or even half decent team though. McLeish what have shut up shop whereas as PL carries on attacking which is why we conceded so many in the last 2 games.

Bennett looked decent both defensively and going forwards I thought. Did well to get the tackle in for the 2nd but it didn't quite fall to Clark and then Guzan could probably have got their before Bale if he hadn't hesistated.

I even thought Delph looked pretty good. He at least had a desire to burst forwards.

Also Ron Vlaar was watching in the stands in the lower Trinity.

  3. Sadly there's not even a shred of truth in that. We came nowhere near playing Liverpool off the park last week. We just happened to score 3 great goals and they faffed around missing their chances. You make it sound like we bossed the game and ran the show. I can only assume you either weren't there or didn't watch it on the box

okay okay fair enough I was only exaggerating. We were well and truly deserved winners though.

  4. 'Little hope of catching up'! Are you for real? Are you saying that with half the season to play that being 8/9 points adrift then it is not possible to catch up?

They only have 8 or 9 points in total so far, so yes it does seem unlikely that they can catch up that same amount of points.

  5. That is half the problem with the fickle fans label.

We didn't play Liverpool off the park, they played us off the park( in possession/territory terms) we just caught them on the break ( and a greta result too)... our smash and grab strikes again.

until we sign some top quality midfielders it will never change.

We played to our game plan and it worked. What's the problem with that? I don't believe that we have to have more possession to be the better team.

  6. I do hope the players have a whip to pay for tickets and travel for our amazing support. that would be the only redeeming factor from the biggest pile fo steaming shower of shite ive seen in a while, and thats saying something with a season of McDogshite.

I'd be shocked and appalled if they DON'T pay up to the away fans.

  7. Did Norwich ever lose 8:0 under Lambert?

Funny how they are now doing better since he left.

So we got a pretty fortunate win against Liverwank then end up being wiped out by Chelsea.

The way we play reminds me of a League one side playing Prem sides every week in the cup, loads of heart and drive, precious little quality of experience. People can say we knew we would lose today, i mean we got spanked by City also, but 8:0? Really?

I agree with some on here, we'll play the same team vs spurs and get destroyed again.

Don't let this result somehow affect your memory of last week. We played Liverpool off the park last week and thoroughly deserved a victory. Don't say that was luck just because we got annihilated today.

  8. have not been impressed so far but yes needs more gsames. Seems like a bit of a weed thouhgh always injured

Come one, one of those injuries he gauged his shin open on an advertising board.

  9. After seeing Villa again, I'm going to up my prediction.

We are going to win this game upward of 4-0. I suspect 5-0, although 6-0 wouldn't be an unreasonable prediction. Villa are easily the worst side that I've ever seen in the top flight in decades. They are abysmal all over the pitch. No cohesion, no belief, no guts, no ability, no desire.

This, my friends, is going to be an absolute battering come the weekend. Villa are going to get absolutely pounded into the floor.

This will be the easiest game that Brendan Rodgers will ever have for this club.

  10. No it is only down to Premier League Appearances. Which he is currently on 48.

If it was all competitions it would be at 53 by now and is not the case.

IMO there is just enough room/time for Bent to come back from this latest injury and be fit to make his final one last appearance right before January and hit game 49.

I feel he will be starting this game to perhaps be taken off 60-70th minute to have his chance to say goodbye to the fans & fans to him etc. I am predicting this will happen when we are at home - Probs against Wigan Ath in the last Dec game maybe which would allow no more time to reach his game 50 before he is sold in January if a deal is already in place?

One little interesting thing to note that right at the start of this whole Bentgate scenario a couple of months ago that he, Bent come out declaring on twitter or somewhere that he is 'super fit' and ready to go?

    - Yet has picked up 2 injuries in less than 8 weeks and perhaps helping in delaying any process of reaching game 50 before January! :suspect:

If you ask me I wouldn't be suprised if everyone is in on the act on this.

    .

It's a bit over the top to think he might have gone off "injured" as part of a cover up!

  11. LMFAO at this post, went off injured at 1-1, missed a one on one and didn't have anything to do with Holman's equalizer. Rather see Benteke and Weimann up front in a 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 formation. Though do think Gabby's pace is always helpful against slow full-backs

I think you missed the joke.
