At the moment we've got Gabby, Andi, CNZ, Atomic and Albrighton that play wide plus (although this may not be true) we are looking at Belhanda so why are we being linked to so many wingers? Surely we need to strengthen up through the middle!

CNZ might be shifted .. Albrighton may have a loan .. Belhanda doesn't play as a winger .. infact he plays as a playmaker or somewhere in the midfield ..

I'm not sure about the stuttgart guy .. But he might be like Popov which could play wide or behind the strikers ..

The good thing is :

Weimann + Gabby could play upfront or wide ..

Tonev + CNZ could play on the wing or behind strikers ..

 

lol .. I'm really depressed that I didn't get pictures from that day ! But one of the most Unforgettable days !

Actually ive been to couple of great away days .. thanks god for that ..

just my thoughts on this but I think we will find that the transfers come in pretty quickly, this may be the hold up with Benteke as he wants the club to show ambition before he puts pen to paper and who can blame him. As for if we can keep these players then why not, who is to say we can not over achieve this year and challenge the top four, unlikely I know but if PL keeps bringing in good players then who can say we can't. There is not really any team in this division that should be feared, We should have beaten Man u last year with the team we had, obviously the new managers in place may improve them or it could make them worse, it will be an interesting year.

 

To be a top 4 side you need to be pretty dominant on the pitch. It is that dominance that usually translates into comfortable and successive victories against the likes of Norwich, Fulham, West Ham, Sunderland, West Brom, etc.  Scrappy teams like Villa tend to lose as many points as they gain.

 

 

Well .. If we lose points as we gain then we will gain 57 .. Not very far from a top 4 spot .. lol

 

Anyway I'll not say anything until we know if Benteke is certainly staying .. Then who will we get ..

 

Tbh with our current squad .. I think we could do a top 10 and possibly top 8 ..

 

If somehow we got Belhanda and Okore and a LB let's say Cresswell .. I will not write us out from the top 6 race .. And maybe more than that too ..

But I didn't say anything strange ..

Top ten was only 5 points from us .. Top 8 about 8 points .. We were the worst team from a period and one of the worse from most of the season .. Yet we've win a couple of games .. and managed to stay up .. and not far from the 8th spot ..

Put in mind = Lambert first season + First season of most players + A lot of pressure being in the relegation battle the whole season + Lack of confidence which costed us alot especially at the back + Uncertain position in January with a lot of deadwood which we couldn't afford if the worse has happened and if we signed anyone it would be as Demba Ba with West Ham , Relegation clause + One of the strongest attacking sides at the end of the league !

Just dealing with these things .. could make us move up quicker .. 

What if we get real quality players as Belhanda and Okore ?

No quotes at all though? Denying local news in Morocco and France, quotes from Montpellier, quotes from Belhanda with a short paragraph with no quotes at all.

I liken this a bit to Southampton signing Gaston Ramirez for 12m last summer. He'd had a good season in Seria A, Liverpool and a few European clubs were interested but Southampton got him.

 

Ramirez went to Southampton for the money IIRC. That was the main reason he chose them over anyone else and he said as much himself when he joined but I seriously doubt we'll be breaking the new wage structure this soon for Belhanda.

 

If he did I think he'd come here to develop as a player and put himself in the the shop window of the PL. It still doesn't seem particularly likely to me though.

 

Just give him the wages N'Zogbia's taking .. And he'll be more than happy I reckon ! Maybe less than that too !

Sell Bent with atleast 6 .. Ireland + Bannan = 2 .. If there were interest from Monaco to N'Zogbia then sell for 6 .. That's about 14m (Maybe I'm deluded somehow but we could easily get atleast 10 from them) .. And with comparing their wages .. Almost the net spend is nothing !

My main team is Villa .. But sometimes I would like to try another team and I couldn't .. Because I don't like to take Atleteco .. And there is no Kaiserlautern nor Saudi teams .. So I had a friend who really likes Ajax and Holland .. He told me that Holland league is there .. Then I selected Roda .. And from that day I named them my team in Holland .. Every three weeks or four I check their results .. lol

But the argument was that we need to strengthen in January. As shown with other signings this idea that we could only sign what we did or expensive signings with no long term value doesn't make any sense.

And he may have spent the budget in the summer but when you could potentially lose a shit load of money by relegation and possibly damage the long term future of the club, surely that can become flexible.

 

I think Lambert didn't have a players at the time that could change the situatuion .. so he might fount that even if he paid it wouldn't affect us match .. So even if the worst happen .. Atleast we didn't pay in January ..

It's nice to have players with different abilities to rotate and change the game when coming ..

If that so .. Then I think we had one of the ideal wingers for what we need !

I was imagining if we had another player as fast as Gabby .. How will the opposition feel with the threat of the two of them and Benteke infront of them !

Well .. Complete it with Belhanda .. And just thinking of the attacking threat makes me excited !

theres a reason why some footballers are plying their trade so far down the leagues...

I really would like some of these players in the top sides to go to smaller clubs .. I would like to see how they'd perform ..

Especially defenders or fullbacks !

And in another way .. I would like to see a player like Bannan to play in a top side .. And what would he do with much more freedom and attacking ..

Anyway for footballers down there .. Especially for those youngsters .. The main reason is that they were in the academy there .. or they wanted a chance to play in a first time in an earlier stage !

This guy looks a decent enough players, but is still only 20, and it's the lack of experience that's cost us at the back all too many times. 

 

Well .. Actually our defence was **** for three years now .. 

Two with experienced players .. One with lack of experience ..

We were having OG with Dunne as we do with Baker ..

We were having silly mistakes with our trio : Collins , Dunne and Warnock .. As we're doing with Clark (Vlaar) , Baker and Bennet !

We were **** in set pieces with Houllier as we were doing now ! Although in the two seasons we've improved going to the end ..

I think more than lack of experience .. It's lack of confidence ..
