I agree with that, but that's a damning indictment of them, rather than praise of Veretout. 

In the end, he'll probably be pretty decent. Maybe good even.

Not impressing me so far, poor starting selections,, not just today but what we played at Everton aswell, persisting with rubbish like Scott Sinclair starting game after game, we still look miles away from winning games as we did under Sherwood.

C'mon Remi, win us a game, it can't be that difficult surely. I want to see us go down fighting at least.

You have to give him more than 5 games ,zero confidence by players and a poor squad he is not a miracle worker ,he comes highly regarded and has to be given a chance to build his own team and buy his own players .I wouldn't have picked the team any different to what he has

Thought it was a stonewall penalty v poor defending from Hutton .Also thought Ramsey fouled Gana for there 2nd goal.It was a gutless performance in 1st half no spirit or desire don't many players hiding ,much better 2nd half but game was over by then

He has always done well when he has played think he has done enough to start again next week

Agree with everyone that says he position is behind the striker .He leaves our full backs exposed when played on wing he is defensively awful .

There is certainly more negatives than positives about us at the moment but the appointment of garde is a big positive ,I like him a lot

I think he will be good for us long term ,short term ? I don't think the best manager in the world would sort us

Thought we were unlucky individual mistakes cost us again ,what worries me is Watford didn't okay well and still beat us ,Think Remi will become a good manager for us it will just take time and obviously a lot of the players aren't good enough aswell think it's becoming nailed on we will go down but look one result and we might go on a run but it needs to happen fast still hope but we are in dire straits .

The lad has serious talent ,but his attitude and work rate doesn't match his talent ,talent alone won't make it at Premier League level he will learn this the hard way .I understand everyone even professionals have to go out and enjoy themselves but the timing after his own performance and a 4-0 defeat was all wrong ,it's obvious he isn't learning from his mistakes until he does  he will struggle to be the player he could be .

I think on current form we are going to go down ,we will improve under Garde but it will take time the question is will there be enough of a improvement to keep us up ?We need to stay as close as we can to other teams until Jan the players we sign then will decide our fate GK a LB priorities.

People criticising his team selection ,personally was prob the team I would have picked Sanchez would have started over Westwood if not knackered and Sinclair/Grealish toss of a coin really problem is no confidence or still finding there feet Gana/veretout/Grealish /Ayew or not PL players Richardson/Westwood /Guzan .We need big changes in certain players or we will go down but there is still time still think we can get out of trouble .

A couple of points 

1.He isn't a LB ,never was and never will be he's a wide sided midfielder 

2.His confidence is shot ,relegation battle after relegation battle played out of position and constant hammerings have him destroyed he is finished as a PL player  Villa have to play somebody else at LB  simple really.

The result (Everton away) wasn't a issue most teams in bottom half will get beat there but the performance was massively worrying ,we have to improve massively and do it quick otherwise were gone FWIW I still believe we will stay up but need to start picking up points fast starting next weekend

At Premier league level you make your own luck we deserved a point against City we played smart football simple as that really they missed chances but City will create chances against every team

Could see this man getting a job abroad ,he has the confidence and can talk himself into a job but he won't last long will be found out again .

Would take another 0-0 at this stage it's all about results for us at this stage the aesthetics can wait

Big achievement qualifying with that group of players not much quality but massive desire ,MON has s knack of getting the best out of players

Do not know much about him but can't be as bad as the last few we have had ,seems to have a decent CV .

Steelers fan myself been one for since I started following nil around 5 years ago .

Massive blow,he is a work in progress and has made mistakes but was much better than the other LB we have and is excellent going forward .Like I said his loss is huge because of the players that might replace him are liabilities really .

If Okore is fit I'd be happier to see Clark go out there than keep playing Richardson, but we really don't have any great options do we? [emoji20] 

 

No options are limited ,Cissokho would have been best option but can't be recalled .Bennett is poor aswell

Richardson isn't a left back end of.He is more of a left sided midfielder ,he has been woeful for Villa ,his positioning is very poor ,teams will be targeting him for sure and he is definitely going to be a weak link if he is playing.
