  1. The problem is, there are far too many simpletons that believe anything they read in newspapers and on social networking sites. I guarantee that if I went on twitter right now and made a tweet saying that we were signing a certain player today, some people would believe it and either retweet it or start spreading it themselves.

If people want to listen to all that shit then I just let them get on with it. Personally, the only time I believe it is if the information has officially came from Villa! I don't even take much notice of SSN that much anymore due to how much "Sky Sources" have got wrong over the last few transfer windows. It seems that even they believe some of the social networking bullshit rumours!

  2. I thought Murray would probably lose to Ferrer but after going a set behind he recovered well to be fair.

I don't think he'll beat Tsonga. Tsonga has been serving great so far and I think Murray will struggle to break. Should be a decent match though, whatever the outcome.

  3. No, it's not really easy on PSP, it's just a lot quicker. It isn't as in depth as on the PC but it isn't far off really. It's just this saved game as well, my other saved games are normal with losses involved. I think I'll just put it down to me being a beast on FM! :D

  4. Anyone play it on the PSP? I do play it on PC too but it's easier for me to use my PSP when I just want to sit down and chill out sometimes, rather than sitting in front of my laptop.

No word of a lie, on my PSP, I have gone four seasons without losing a single game in all competitions! Yes, FOUR SEASONS!!! Fair enough, I'm Chelsea on that save BUT I also became the manager of Ireland on that save too and I have won the Euro's and World Cup with them without losing a single game, including friendlies and qualifiers.

This is all legit too. I don't rage quit and replay the matches if I'm losing.

Anyone else had a saved game like this before?

  5. Pirlo has been quality during Euro 2012... when he's been given time and space to do whatever he wants. Spain didn't allow him to play and because of this he was fairly quiet all game. I would have Xabi Alonso in my team over Pirlo any day!

Spain were worthy winners. The best nation in the world and rightly so. Whether you like them or not you have to give them credit. I'm still not a fan of them playing with no strikers BUT it clearly works for them!

  6. Lucio released from his contract at Inter, mutual consent.

Sign him up, Sign him up, Sign him up!

Lucio used to be one of the best defenders in the world. I remember him from when Leverkusen were pretty decent. How old is he now, about 34? Off home to finish his career in Brazil or one last big deal in China, Qatar or Russia I think. I would have loved to have seen him in the Premier League 6 or 7 years ago.

  7. ^^^ It needed to be done! We need people on board that can find gems without breaking the bank, just like Terry Carr has done for Newcastle with the likes of Cabaye and Tiote. He's about 70 and they've just handed him a new 10 year deal. Irrelevant information but he's the father of comedian Alan Carr.

That young chap Delap has quite the throw-in doesn't he?

Totally over my head that one!

I've only been posting since the back end of 2010. I've seen these Delap references from a few people in various topics before but I've never read why or seen it questioned. Care to explain, for future reference?

  8. What a difference two years can make. In 2010, Italy done the impossible and had an even worse World Cup than England! Fast forward two years and they are in the final of the Euro's.

I'm not bothered who wins the final but I think I'd rather see Italy win. Spain haven't been at their best but you could argue that they haven't really needed to be! Playing with no strikers is something that I've found annoying too!

It should be a good game. Cagey, but good.

  9. If Small Heath are turning down 6 million pound bids then maybe their finances are not as bad as we think. It just seems strange that they'd sell Mutch for 2.5 million but reject 6 million for Butland who has never even played for them. This tells me that either A) they are not as **** as we think, B) Southampton offered to pay it in installments and Small Heath want cash up front, or C) They are relying on Southampton's offer sparking a bidding war to get a million or two more. It's a weird one!

  11. Nani should have let Alves get on with it and go after him instead. I guarantee that having to go back and then walk up again after would have had an effect on Alves, mentally. The more time you have to think about it, the worse it gets! I'm very surprised about Ronaldo. Surely he would have taken the 5th!?! He needed to go first to get them off to a good start, especially as Spain had just missed! In a game he's always first on the ball for penalties and free kicks. He should of stepped up when his country needed him the most instead of relying on it going to his penalty and potentially winning it, providing that's what he had "planned" of course! Or maybe he'd bottled it due to big misses in the past and that he was facing Casillas, a man who would have seen Ronaldo take hundreds, maybe thousands of penalties. I don't know but for me, Ronaldo should have stepped up early!

  12. I was speaking to one of my best pals earlier. I've known him for about 18 years and he's been a season ticket holder down there with his dad since before I even knew him. He said he's got till the weekend to decide if they are renewing and he thinks they might not. He knows how much shit they are in and he also knows that it is going to get much worse. He is genuinely worried and rightly so! It was a very enjoyable conversation to have from a Villa point of view!

  13. A Steven Davis return perhaps? I liked him at Villa and clearly he'd be a better player now too. What about Whittaker? I know it's a poor standard of football but didn't he score about 15 goals the other season from full back? Better player than Hutton surely! McGregor to come and battle with Shay for the number one spot?
