The beaches there are unbelievable, there's not a great deal of culture going on, but it's such a beautiful spot. It's all about opinions ofcourse, and if you're looking for somewhere with more than just beaches, then perhaps not. But if you enjoy your scuba diving & snorkeling and are just looking for an incredible beach holiday then I personally couldn't imagine anywhere better in the entire world. Ofcourse I haven't been everywhere in the world, not by a long chalk, but if you factor in distances then even places like the Cook Islands fall behind the Maldives (again IMO).
