Dodgyknees
Trying to record something on my partners laptop, she has windows 8 and we are trying to use screenr, I have Java installed but screenr cannot find it - and when I go to Java I get this message; Verifying your Java version will only work in Desktop mode on Windows 8. See the Java on Windows 8 FAQ for more detailed information. Problem is, I am in desktop mode. W8 is alien to me!
Tegis Posted October 9, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted October 9, 2013 Would screenr care if you are using 64 or 32 bit versions of java? Have you tried both? If you try to verify java in the browser you need the 32 bit one. Unless you made a very active download choice and picked a 64 bit browser
Dodgyknees
I only have the 64 version, trying the 32 now. Didn't think of that!
