It's definitely not an intentional thing, it's obviously not an ability thing...it's just his effectiveness.

It's not working as well as it could IMO so Buendia should get a go, because he's been consistently good-excellent for about eight months.

I’d like to see them both playing

agree with everything you say apart from the bit in bold. we were crap last season too

You’re right - I meant that he was the one managing the relations with the players rather than some kind of tactical genius - I’d hoped that with their own players and time to work we would be markedly better this season - it’s still early days but signs are not good

  3. I’ve been supportive of SG since he’s been here and keen for him to have a pre-season and bring in his own players -my expectations were that we’d hit the ground running this season and capitalise on the relatively favourable fixtures which start the season

We certainly didn’t do that and the Everton game now becomes ridiculously important

SG is with the players daily, but from my limited perspective he has made some fundamental errors

     - I see no advantage of stripping Mings of the Captaincy and certainly it was crazy to drop him against a Keiffer Moore led Bournemouth

    - McGinn should not be Captain and seemed embarrassed by the whole thing for me

    - How can Buendia not be starting games?

High pressure for SG and two or three more defeats will see him under enormous pressure (or gone)

I worry that Beale was the guy holding everything together behind the scenes

An impressive and authoritative performance required Saturday

  4. Mings had to start against Bournemouth - crazy that he didnt

McGinn is quite the wrong choice for captain

Buendia needed to start ahead of Ramsey

We need a couple more in sharpish

(I know Coutinho has been getting stick but I’d persevere as I think with Buendia alongside he will get the space he needs to play)

Supportive of Gerrard last season but the clock is ticking now!

  5. Forwards are the difference for me. Sancho and Rashford have pace and are willing to run behind - Watkins and Ings don’t and aren’t

Archer, Luiz and Buendia for Watkins, Ings and mcginn at half-time

Easy to overreact to this but early days - I’m still confident we’ll be ok next season

We kick off the same time as 4 other games, including City so I think there's a chance you won't find the game on anywhere.

😳 ….not showing Villa v Crystal Palace - the big one??!!!?? LOL

Ive been to the Crown and Anchor before - I’ll give it a try! Thanks for the reply 👍

Just responded to you in the pre-match thread.  https://www.shakespearepub.com/  Went there a couple of times a few years ago. TV's everywhere and to the best of my recollection every match was shown.

Being in California you'll probably have to pay an entry tax, pre-match tax, half-time tax and exit tax...oh and a hefty parking fee... 😆

Cheers Dude, I’ll check it out. Also been told about “Bluefoot Bar” home to the San Diego Lions Group so should be sorted.

My missus is astounded……she just keeps saying “Burnley?” And rolling her eyes 👀

He's actually played more minutes than Mahrez, and hasn't played much less than the likes of Foden and De Bruyne, I think they've played around 200 minutes more than him so not much more than two more games worth. So it's not as if he's hardly playing relative to their other top players.

He gets all his minutes against lower PL teams or when the game is already won

its a short career - he won’t get this time back sitting around on the bench

Peps reluctance to trust him will also put an England starting spot back

    Sad
