The VT way … He’s been a massive disappointment for £33-38mill 9 goals and 9 assists in 78 games for us is a poor return imo. An expensive bench warmer at best when fit.

I like Buendia but can't disagree that he's not repaid the fee. Still, he's young and has definite quality. Hope he comes back stronger, was on fire in pre season.

  2. He reminds me a lot of Balotelli. All the talent but a bit of a loose cannon with questionable attitude.

Like Balotelli, he can definitely be a difference maker, but whether he fulfils his promise is debatable at this stage.

I like his potential and if he goes we should command a profit plus a big % sell on fee. We'd better also get a replacement who can start as well as affect games as Duran ain't ready for that.

  3. Anderson looked like a world beater in his first season at West Ham and then faded.

I can't speak to his Lazio career but if we're using frees to help improve the squad so we have the muscle to go for key first XI targets elsewhere then that sounds sensible enough to me.

I’m now convinced the driver is cost.

A full rebrand is expensive. Changing every badge on every wall, stand, letterhead etc costs a lot

Having read the FAB notes and more details on how the badge is just a small change from the Lerner badge, I now think they’ve gone for that because it’s cheaper.

They're going to have to change it anyway. The shape doesn't make a difference.

I struggle to believe that is the reason.

I like Carlos a lot but he needs to cut out these lazy bullshit passes into midfield, and Id like to see more from him in an attacking sense at set pieces too. Torres has grabbed a header at Spurs but do any of our centre backs routinely threaten from set pieces? Even Mings doesn't really, and he's about 7ft tall.

One of the many poor things Carlos did last night was head over the bar whilst unmarked from a set piece.

Let’s see where we are at the end of the season. Right now, we are in a champions league spot. It’s ours to throw away at the moment. If we fail to qualify at the end of the season, are we saying it is mentally weak or not?

I think the fans have more of a mentality issue than the squad tbh.

  7. Would be great if we can bring in a better option in Jan and loan this guy out. He has talent but a lot of learning to do and shouldn't be the main back up for a top 4 chasing side.

City certainly haven't this season, and unless they do they probably won't make it. But at the end of the day the thing with City is everyone expects them to win the next 15 games in a row or whatever. Of course they might not actually do that, but the point is it's at least *imaginable*. It's not plausible we can be tight enough to put that kind of run of results together.

I think it's quite important not to get too downhearted about this, the aberration was ever being in the discussion, not that we don't have enough to achieve it. Finishing higher than we did last season and winning a trophy would be great, and still highly achievable.

Oh I totally agree. Title is and was always a massive longshot. But we have some decent fixtures over the next couple of months and I don't necessarily think these last two results mean we'll suddenly drop away.

We concede far too many goals to be serious title contenders. Very very few teams win the title while conceding more than a goal a game and we rarely keep a clean sheet.

Agree with this, we would need to tighten up.

City don't actually keep that many clean sheets either, mind.

It's not negativity, it's called realism.

Unexpected teams have good starts to a season all the time, it doesn't make them title contenders. Spurs were never title contenders this season and neither are we. The media might rabbit on about it to fill air time but anyone who watches us regularly can see that our performances are more miss than hit and that our best players have to play too many minutes.

Our performances are more miss than hit 🤣

**** me man, lay off the booze. We've literally never had it so good.

  11. Agree I think the new badge is really solid.

I imagine it will become a cult favourite in years to come (not least if we win the league... 😉).

I don't understand why we're junking it but I hope Heck knows what he's doing.

We had a good CEO in Purslow (when he stayed away from football decisions). It feels like Heck is trying to mark his territory by ceasing all his predecessors projects.

  12. Yeah he's been a good servant but it's the one area where we can easily upgrade. He doesn't suit how we play sadly.

Should have stopped the ball in for their goal too.

I hope we can do it in January.

  13. No need to panic. We played well without being truly incisive enough.

We will need to get used to the occasional side playing like that at VP.

Hopefully we can bounce back with a win at OT. Would you bet against us?
