  1. Think he's improved over the past few games. Coming back to his old self. I was critical in the start of the season, but he's playing far better now. Either Watkins or Ings needs to be dropped, both would probably perform better playing alone up top.

The man knows how to find that spicy pass. He gets swamped sometimes and loses possession but he's a baller imo. Works hard off the ball too which is a great attribute.

Definitely. He has some of the best defensive stats for a winger/attacking midfielder in the league. One of the most progressive passers and high on chances created. He's being dispossed 3 times per match on average which is a lot. But the narrative that he's been shit thats being touted by some simply isn't true when you look at the statistics. Unless you chose to focus him being dispossessed and ignore everything else off course.

  3. Thought he had an excellent first half. In the heart of every positive attacking move we were making. Worked hard and pressed well throughout the game. He's central in keeping the pace up while we're in possession. Constantly moving to recive passes or making runs in the final third as  well. It's obvious that he's becoming more on  wavelength with the rest of the team. But still not there yet.

Poor second half like the the rest of the team, we droppe in performance while Norwhich improved. Was playing with an injured foot for a while before being taken off. My impression is that he's improving every game. I don't get the criticism he's receiving.

  4. Very tidy, works hard, wins the ball, carries the ball well forward, defence splitting passes, some brilliant 1-2s and first time passes, holds the ball up well, wins fouls. On wavelength with buendia. Needs to start.

To be fair on him he was never really given a good run of games under Smith.

To be fair he's been improving year on year under Smiths Reign as well.

I've been pointing it out on several occasions and made the argument for a midfield three of Nakamba, McGinnis and Luiz for quite some time.

So happy to see him succeed!

  6. Some of you seem so eager for him fail that you ignore any of the positive he's doing and focus on every single mistake, ignoring the context of the situations it happens. He's making things happen going forward, yes he plays with a higher risk  but it's also what's needed to make something happen. He still seems slightly off the pace, but he's improving. He got swarmed by up to 4 players whenever he had the ball  and struggled as a result. He rarely had any easy options. Regardless off that he managed to work through that and grew into the game. He didn't get any help from the referre either, quite the contrary. Give it a few months and he'll be up to speed.

  7. He's barley played. Most players needs a season too adjust to the tempo of the league. Theres talent there, he does good things but most if it ends up in him being dispossessed by thinking he has that extra second, which he don't. Give it time.

We look a completely different team. Obviously still a lot of work to be done but we look far more comfortable on the ball and a lot more organised as a unit. What was Smith doing in training this past 11 months or so?

Trying to replicated the league winning Leicesters Drinkwater to Vardy/Mahrez combo.
