Oh I do hope that Villa score the first 1 or 2 goals & then concede enough to drop another 2 or 3 points & stay in this division with less and less money. We have seen that so rarely...

Is this commentator a Leeds fan?
He saw Ron Saunders and knee jerked with saying Bobby Robson’s Ipswich were ‘edged out’. Fact: under 3 points for a win, which came in the very next season, Ipswich would have been beaten by 7 clear points.

Wrong foot, Bolasshole.

Hit n hope football. When they need to play on the deck. May as well put O’Leary back in charge.

May as well get Revan on. How could he do worse than Bree?

This should be a battering, the ref has let us off for 2 penalties now.
Mere recompense for the Jay Rodriguez obscenity.

Thanks for this effin woeful defence, Steve Bruce, the ex Man Utd centre back. Over and over again, we fail to deal with basic situations.

Andy Hinchcliffe compared with good pundits is like Championship refs compared with Premier ones. Partially sighted, factually incorrect and only accurate about 50% of the time.

Ask yourselves this: would Fergie, the most successful manager in a generation who has proved irreplaceable, even once have blamed his team if they had lost due to shite match officials? No, he would not.

If we miss promotion by two points, that will hurt more than Maradona 1986. For years. Officials in the Championship are appalling. The linesman was looking straight along the goal line at Cheat Rogriguez playing netball.

I’d get Adomah on for Bolasie and Kodjia as a false 9 for Tammy.
I’d get Messi and Ronaldo on, too. But they have to be on the bench to get on the pitch.

It's not his first one, he often looks like he needs 5 good chances to score.
He's been incredible in the last few games, but he's had a few games like this, too. It's this inconsistency that's keeping him in this division.
Thanks for that, Pep Guardiola. Here in Aston Villa world, he is the very best striker we could deserve or get.

Tammy has more than earned an off day. And he will make up for it.

Yes. Please realise that Villa have finally turned a corner after 8 long and dreadful seasons, thanks to Deano. Not yet perfect but much, much better.

OK yes Barnes is killing Alan + Anwar. Elmo & Hutton to swap sides as Taylor injured.

El Ghazi still testing his groin at kick off. Probably asked to try it and see.

If I buy a shirt, it has McGinn on the back.
And gin down the front?

Criticisms are too harsh. If Tammy’s clever flick had come off, that would have been 2-0. They are good on the break. Hutton needed to be goal side and Taylor had to track Gayle’s run. Chester correctly covered the central space.

Please show Johnstone what he missed.

We give Nyland plenty of stick, so let’s praise him for that brilliant tip on to the bar.

Their time wasting should rank as a criminal offence. Like our inability to defend.
