Johnstone has clearly become addicted to watching people ‘having a baby’. 1 last weekend and 42,000 after that handball.

Hanging on for grim death against Fulham will fail, should it occur.

Because we're not playing well? Or because there's 70 minutes gone...
You’re right.

FRESH LEGS NEEDED, BRUCE!!

Villa look leggy
That is because they have been told to fear the opposition, instead of to play their game and win. If Dr Xia is there, he can only be thinking ‘If we don’t go up, I’d rather watch some actual football next season.’

Well that was nerve wracking .
I'm stress eating pistachios like a crazy person.
So far it's working, but playing another 45 like this is leaving it too much to chance for my liking.
What do you do when you pick up one of those unopened ones? Look down and risk missing Downing’s goal?!

Can Robert tie a lace or does he really need all of this practice?
-
May as well replace Lewis Grabban with Mike Dean, who has attracted more passes from Villa players.

Snoddy ‘Lacegate’ continues.
-
Can nobody slide the ball to Grabban so he can run at Fry?!
-
Villa are nowhere near as fluent as Fulham. Bruce will need a tactical master plan if we reach the final, more likely to involve Thor than Jedi.
-
Hope Snoddy losing his laces is only as minor as when Andy Townsend floundered about with a contact lens.

Wouldn't surprise me if Adama switched to the left to attack bree
Have you forgotten Saturday’s match already? Hutton sticks to Adama.

Fry is 20 and has made 9 appearances this season. Grabban needs to torment him. Bree’s stats are similar and Downing has never knowingly tormented anyone at Villa Park.

Villa never do straightforward semi-finals. 6-4 v Blackburn in 2010: I was there, but not sure I could take anything that tumultuous tonight. A nice easy 2-0 would be pleasant.

Everyone agree that Sam’s puffy eyes betray how knackered he must be, after staying up nights, waiting for his lady to give birth?
-
I daresay those miserable whingers at work who support Chelsea and have zero interest in Villa will now recall my words of earlier today: “It should be illegal for Huddersfield Town to be in the Premier League instead of Aston Villa.”
-
Terrific entertainment, though. 11 goals in the Champions League semi final and still 40 mins for Roma to score 3 more and bring extra time.

0-2 (Cascarino, Sheringham)

It is simply a case of which manager would outfox Bruce most on tactics over 2 legs: Rowett or Pulis. As regards Millwall, Aston Villa teams over decades have a track record of going to pieces once they cross the River Thames.
-
May as well switch to 18/19 Promotion Charge. August’s opening match: Steer-Elmo, Terry, Samba, Taylor-Albrighton, Bjarnason, Hourihane, Adomah-O’Hare-Grabban Subs: Siegriest, Hepburn-Murphy, Suliman, Lansbury, 3 loanees or academies. Stoke 3 (Shawcross, Crouch 2) Villa 1 (Loanee, possibly Solanke)

Paul Lambert has proved to be useless for Stoke, but facing them and Southampton and Baggies next season with reduced finances reminds us yet again how desperately Villa need to win the Play-Off lottery.

Snodgrass had a poor game by his own high standards but you can't fault his desire and application.
He is knackered. 3 games in 6 days. All on TV. Anyone would be. Not a reason to slate him at all.

Asking why that happened. Bruce has his famous 4/4 promotions and Villa are out of automatic. So, is Bruce now having a pre-season for the play-offs? Could be canny.

We are all utterly delighted to be going to Wembley. But, it will be futile unless a way can be found to defeat a far better footballing side in Fulham.
