Downing MOTM, **** brilliant performance. Albrighton was fantastic too, we have such a good player on our hands here.

So proud of them today, of course man united got the two late goals but we played so well. slightly concerned that Dunne and Collins looked very shaky but apart from that we played brilliantly to a man. Nice to see Gabby back too, gave Vidic a **** nightmare.

They should have had a few sendings off and any other team would have done, very biased reffing.

Shame we didnt win but we can only be proud of an awesome performace.

We have to play 3 midfielders centrally in my opinion.

On which basis, this is our best option.

I think we could get something. Scholes being out is a massive plus as far as Clark and Bannan are concerned.

the less were spoke about the better imo. The moment you see a piece on footy focus before a match about how good villa are doing - get your life on a defeat in the next game.

Haven't seen his goal cos my stream went down but the one that was disallowed was perfectly legal, a great header I dont know why it was disallowed

I think my housemate in the room next door with very thin walls probably thought I was having the most intense wank of all time when Collins scored the winner.

Great result, Blackpool were never going to be easy and we definitely made it difficult!

Plus points:

Ash played really well for the first time in a while

the Fonz looked really good. How his first 'goal' was disallowed I will never know

Gabby looked really good when he came on

Bannan, Clark and Albrighton all had very good games, but the latter needs to be cooler in front of goal, had a golden chance just before he was subbed

When Ireland came on we looked very good, would like him to get a run in the team

Our midfield was solid without NRC, Delph and Petrov

Warnock had a good game except for one slip late on

I missed Fonz's goal cos the stream went down

Poor reffing, Fonz's first should have stood, Clark's booking was a joke, and Alby should have had a free kick (the foul was about 50cm outside the box.

Brilliant comeback though, I was sure that would be it after they equalized. Bring on Man U, I actually think we can get something

Just watched the MOTD highlights of the the Fulham game, how did Motson fail to pick up on Bannan's brilliant cross to Albrighton?! If that had been Messi he would have been creaming himself. Also I thought it was ridiculopus how he barely referred to Albrighton's great control instead he blamed the full back for letting him cut inside!

I'm expecting lots of goals from both sides in this one. Think we will edge it. I want Ireland to start, would seriously consider droppping Young to the bench after his woeful performance at Fulham but it would be a very risky piece of man management.

First time logging in since the match so can't vote anymore but Bannan motm for me, he was brilliant especially first half. What a ball to pick out Alby for the goal!

All in all it was a very promising performance, fantastic games by Bannan, Albrighton, Clark and to a slightly lesser extent though I was still impressed Fonz. Our failure to see out games let us down again but I would have taken a draw away at Fulham before kick off so it is just a very disappointing manner to lose two points.

Thought Ireland looked good when he came on too.

Backing Carew to step up on saturday and get a goal or two.

And people thought I was crazy when I always used to back Stan for a goal.

He's got to regain his form at some point (you would hope) and I think saturday is the day to do it.
