It’s a fair point. Not even McGinn had put one out and he was given captaincy! Does make you think..

Experience is a funny one. Southampton got rid of Adkins and hired an “inexperienced” manager in Poch from Espanyol… I don’t think it means as much people here think it does. If the manager has the talent it would shine regardless.

The only thing Amorim and Garde have in common is that they are foreign. Amorim has a far more impressive CV overall (not saying he is the answer but the comparisons make no sense to me)

The lack of goals is a problem. A coach (a proper coach) can get us scoring again - we have goals in the team. 

Every manager is a gamble. Gerrard was also a gamble that failed. The days of “safe hand” managers are gone in my opinion

Didn’t realise Wolves still hadn’t appointed a manager. Is this a case of nobody wants it or something else? Different clubs of course but still around the same position in the table which does make you think.

Does he even watch us play? It’s the same with most pundits, they will look at the table nothing more. Nobody has time for Aston Villa as a pundit or journalist unless they cover the midlands as part of the role or if you are supporter. Reading the thread predictably majority were against the signing and yesterdays performance tells you why; I have no idea how the club thought he was the answer for any question really. I guess the question is was this on Gerrard or more worrying Lange? Still a lot of problems outside of Gerrard going if this is the type of recruitment that gets the thumbs up. It was a poor signing from the outset.

Yes agree - I think they will launch an investigation as to what went wrong and someone other than Gerrard will also be gone soonish.

Dyche makes little sense to me at this moment in time. I’d also argue he probably needs us more than we need him at the moment in my opinion. The table doesn’t lie sure but it’s not like we are cut adrift or something. I’m also not sure he is the safe hands people want to make him out to be either.

The manager they have lined up said yes to taking over hence the movement in sacking Gerrard right away …. Right? 

New manager needs to take captaincy off him asap. He is not and never will be captain material. 

There a lot of quality options out there, some pretty difficult but some would relish this job. I wouldn’t underestimate our potential even if it looks really bleak now. 

Can we get a proper coach please. No more “passion” managers (or chancers)
