No it isn’t. It was a cowardly selection IMO and I’m a Villa fan. He essentially picked a team that didn’t have a hope in hell of getting a result at City, of course Arsenal fans will be pissed off. Maybe you’ve had a few too many sherbets so can’t see it.

I don't drink, too busy looking after myself 😎. You crack on though calling the manager a coward.

  2. I don't blame Emery or the players for tonight. As I've said previously we could've put out our strongest side had everyone been fit and still got turned over convincingly.

I think Unai went for a more physical set up realising we wouldn't be able keep City off us for the 90 mins. Tim, Zaniolo, Duran and Rodgers have all had minimum game time so would probably never had the legs to last the full 90 mins anyway. Then there is Saturday, had Unai had Bailey, Pau, Tielemans on from the start tonight and we'd still got done then people would have said he should've been smarter considering Brentford the weekend. Dammed if he does, dammed if he don't.

I think all things considered the ball is still in our court with the points already on the board. We've just got to make sure that tonight blip is just a blip.

Finally I think supporters need to lighten up. With the injuries we've had where we are is fantastic, so support the manager, the players and be real fans. If we end up just missing out on the CL so what, we'll be back in Europe next season with hopefully a much stronger squad and still a great manager at the helm. UTV

Perhaps it was a dead leg, I said he started okay and he has shown shown some decent play recently, but he didn't "do really well" tonight by any stretch. Unlikely we are signing him in the summer.

He did do well in the first half as many were commenting on, but like I said there is no pleasing some so called supporters.

    He should consider retiring

Why retiring? Why not wait until he gets an offer close to what he earns, or until we buy out his contract and release him.

Maybe you should blame Emery for giving him minutes

Can't agree. Decent start and he looks good when it's on him to make a short term impact, but he gives up very quickly. There was some very obvious injury play acting today.

I realise some people see what they want to and can't be positive about certain players but it was 100% a dead leg. Either way it was his first start for months and other than the freekick and his part in a poor wall he did really well.

  6. Unlucky to be on the end of a thumping tbh. I thought for someone with virtually zero minutes the last few months he did very well.

  7. I thought he was involved in everything we did well going forward. Mistake for the 2nd but a much better performance for his first start for 3 months.

  8. For a makeshift side that was a really good  first half. Fell apart in the second a little with players running on empty but no one deserves pelters imo.

Anyone blaming Emery or the players.... get a grip. Our first 11 could've taken that beating without anyone batting an eyelid.

Bollocks, he got kneed in the thigh

You're wasting your time. People just want to hate on him. Typical of much of our fanbase unfortunately.

Our squad is pretty much decimated atm but that wont stop some bitching over anything they can think of.

  10. I think we've been excellent all things considered. A decimated team, never mind squad and we've battled admirably. Duran, Diaby and Zaniolo have looked really good going forward.

A f*** up for and on the freekick but all things considered we've stuck to the task well.

I'd bring on Youri for Tim and Bailey for Rogers now and add more pace to the attack and just go for it on the counter.

  11. My concern is Youri missing from the centre with Dougie and Pau missing from the back. Dougie could get overrun in the centre. Other than that I think all will come on including Leon with fresh legs second half when City like to turn the up the tempo on teams. I think Pep leaving KDB, Haaland etc indicates they'll go for broke 2nd half if they ain't already ahead. It's bold but if City start slow and we can stay in it.... who knows. It's a more physical set up from us that's for sure.
