  1. "Doesnt train, plays wicked once a week, then falls out of somewhere legless of an evening."
  2. Even the Spurs fan in my office is laughing at it! What an idiot. If you dont realise it was tongue in cheek then there is no hope for you.
  3. Im sure you will find a handful of Villa fans who dont like O'Neil
  4. Doesn't that kind of back up his point about being unoriginal? Your new stadium will be nice. but it doesn't change the fact it was designed using the Emirates and some tracing paper, and they just added a single tier stand. Name a new ground in the country with a single stand? Plus the sides will be a lot steeper amd the stands closer to the pitch. In fact why not read the plans rather than making ill informed comments on here?
  5. 1. Your opinion your entitled to it 2. I must say your attitude isnt coming across as fantastic 3. As the more sensible posters on here have said all teams do that 4. As above 5. Werent the media talking about you being top four last season? 6. No argument 7. I like WHL but once again thats your opinion 8. So you havent seen the "kop end" plans yet then 9. You dont like our chants? Gutted. 10. There are bigger divine righters out there (Pool / Newcastle) 11. I dont even know what that is 12. Agreed.
  6. Mate all my posts have been a thread about Spurs. And for the 1 millionth time I did not say King was as good as McGrath. Of course I am upset about last night but that is not the reason why Im here. I am trying to get to the root of this weird one sided hatred.
  7. Brains of Britain is here!! So brains, if we are so badly run can you explain why we are turning a profit year after year in turbulent economic times? I think just about anybody who has read a newspaper over the last 2 year will realise we have a stringent wage structure that has probably cost us signings. Oh and by the way Spurzzzz? Jesus wept, hold old are you? Twelve...No wait "Drowning in babes" ha ha christ on a bike, make that nine.
  8. So basically he got some grief at a game, gave some back and now you hate him? As for dodgy dealings it has never been proven despite numerous investigations and that panorama was a joke. I disliked before he came to us but only because of his West Ham affiliations. As for Spurs fans thinking that were bigger than Villa, I think you will be hard pressed to find many who think that. I think us you and everton are on a par size wise.
  9. Mate I find this place fascinating, I still havent really got to the reason why you lot hate us. Lots of burbling on about Harry (although no one seems to have given a reason why you hate him) Its not as though he managed Brum. And some old rubbish about London media bias. I reckon you lot get a lot of positive press. I like Villa, I like the way you are run sensibly, I like the way your chairman lets O'Neil get on with it and run the club. You seem to be more of a family club now and you seem to be getting better attendances. The attitude of some on here is baffling to me, I can see no real reason why you would hate us when you are not even on our radar. Its like West Ham but weirder.
  10. 38 pages on Spurs Heres something to fill your day today boys (lets face it there cant be much else going on up there at the mo). Find a Spurs MB with a 38 page Villa thread. Should keep you busy. Obsessed.
  11. Fantastic, Villa run out winners and into a semi and there is a page full of people on here celebrating our result. Thats some big time charlie attitude there. I love the fact people are still stamping thir feet on here outraged at the fact that someone said King was as good as McGrath when not a single soul has said that. No wonder you lot couldn't make a decent car, you share a brain cell. Im sure when we won the CC a few years back it was tinpot and mickey mouse however, it is all magically now worth it.
  12. Looks like the constructive debate is out the window then.
  13. England squad vs Ukraine: 1st Competitive game after Ledleys call up. England: James, Johnson, Ferdinand (Jagielka 88), Terry, Cole, Lennon (Beckham 57), Lampard, Barry, Gerrard, Rooney, Crouch (Wright-Phillips 79). Subs Not Used: Foster, Lescott, Carrick, Agbonlahor. Of course Upson was always his first choice. Honestly lads. Who gives a monkeys about player of the month? Who honestly thinks Micah Richards is playing well at the moment?
  14. Because Capello rates him as the best fit alternative? I nwould have thought that was obvious. I don't think you can understand English. There was a squad of 6 centre backs picked, got it? John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Matthew Upson, Phil Jagielka, Joleon Lescott and Ledley King. That much we agree on? You said the only reason Upson was called up was due to King being injured, correct? Surely this suggests that he is rated less than the other 5 by Capello, as he was only called up due to Kings absence (which is a false claim, Upson was named in the orignal squad, but I'll humour you). So why is it, that seeing as you think that Capello feels Upson is rated lower than these, that he is STARTING games? Lescott and Jagielka had been fit, yet Upson was still starting. Your lack of logic is fightening. Not at all, I think the fact that Jagielka is long term injured, Lescott is having a torrid time at city and Upson is looking fairly comfortable and assured is why he is now Capellos first pick.
  15. When did I say that? Please. You keep coming back to it. When did I say that? I said there isnt a gulf in class that some would suggest. Jeez what a bunch of m0ngs
  16. Because Capello rates him as the best fit alternative? I would have thought that was obvious.
  17. Err... mate, I have to ask you something, are you for real? There were 6 centre backs called up for that game, yes 6. That's right. And what did I say? Capello thinks Upson is better than King. Who else is in the squad? Upson? So I really fail to see how you feel you're justifying your point here? Well done to Ledley King, he was selecting as a 6th choice CB, and then dropped from the squad, for meaningless games. I think somebody else needs the memory check here. You must be on the wind up surely. Capello called up King and got his boys to assess the injury. He has realised there is no point in including Ledley because of the injury hence upsons inclusion: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1226116/England-boss-Fabio-Capello-rules-Ledley-King-return-leaves-Rio-Ferdinand-David-James-sweating.html honestly mate, keep setting them up and I'll keep knocking them down.
  18. So why did Capello call up King? http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/03/27/1178629/fabio-capello-defends-selecting-ledley-king-for-england Mate, sorry but either you dont watch a lot of football or you have a memory like a sieve.
  19. Micha Richards??? When was the last time you watched MOTD? 2007? As for Upson, if you rate him above a fit King there is no hope for you at all.
  20. Best of his generation? Okay, surely you must understand what we mean when we say Spurs fans massively over-rate their players. Individual attributes mean nothing really, it's performances that matter and his are certainly over-rated. For example, what do you think of his attempted 'tackle' on Fabregas for their 2nd goal against you? If somebody in my 6-a-side team did that I'd **** have a right go, forget a Premier League footballer. Nobody has seen enough of King to have a clue, he has only made 30+ Premier League starts in a season 2 imes in 12 years. Ashley Young made a last ditch tackle against PJS when we played United last year. I'm telling ya, that lads the best defender of his generation. OK then, you clearly dont have a clue about football. Why despite the lack of games have successive England manager (including Capello) insisted on including him, even playing him as holding midfielder despite his knee and at the expense of a fit Jamie Carragher. Cant wait for this. I clearly know nothing about football? ..says the person who thinks King is great because he was picked ahead of a retired International footballer. Wes Brown has also had a lack of games lately due to a run of injuries but has been picked by successive England managers. Best of a generation that lad, no question. Carragher retired because king was picked ahead of him when Rio was injured. You clearly dont know your onions mate. Wes Brwon has been picked because unlike CBs we have been desperatly short of a decent RB in the absence of Neville. Honestly you are not doing Villa fans any favours pal.
  21. Because he cannot relied upon to be fit for any length of time. No reflection on his talent. He is quicker and more composed coming out of defence than Terry and he is better in the air and a better tackler than Rio.
