Does anyone else feel that downing going shows lack of ambition from the board??

Has to be sold for a min £20M to show that we still have ambition, then we need to buy a couple of big name players.

If we keep him hopefully we can show some ambition that we want to challenge for europe, but to be far to Downing he must be thinking am i going to play in europe again if i stay or even challenge.

Just on the mcleish being ex-blues i feel thats a bit part thing to the argument like most fans have been saying it is mostly due to his poor record.

Id take a manager like rijkaard or Poyet as they try to play nice football and for me Poyet is a talented manager

Alex Mcleish what they hell are the press thinking off this will never happen Aston Villa will never take a sha manager he won the carling cup by a fluke and then got the relegated plus he hardly gets teams scoring.
