See I think there's some mass assuming going on here, this idea that AY prefers the role in the centre, even though there's no actual evidence for it.
You even commented on the heat maps from the Blackburn game...Ashley was meant to play on the left wing, but the heat showed he didn't play that much touching the left wing, he drifted more to the centre.
I doubt he was asked to play like that.
Pretty sure I read an article on OS where Young said he preferred the middle.

Im pretty stoked that Qatar is getting it though. Best TV times for us (2 hour time difference in the summer) and there will be mad crazy stadiums built. I really like the idea that after the World Cup the Stadiums will be taken down and given to other countries who dont have the infrastructure. That is **** awesome.
Yes well I imagine the offer of a free stadium would have been pretty persuasive when deciding which bid to vote for...
If it means I dont have to get up at 5am in order to watch the World Cup, I'm fine with it.
Meh I know its a long way away but I doubt I'll watch much of it. Shit football and shit atmosphere.

Population of Qatar = 1696563
Combined capacity of world cup stadiums = 542780
Roughly a third of there population to fill the stadiums and I can't see that many people flying to Qatar.
Shittest world cup ever.
It's actually more like half their population. I'm sure that figure is the total population which includes the immigrant workers.
Well I was using the wikipedia census figures.

L Young can **** off.
Collins can **** off.
Dunne can **** off.
Warnock can **** off.
A Young can **** off.
Just get the **** out of my football club you pieces of shit.
Apart from that clearance that gave the ball away which they scored from I thought Warnock played ok...I think it was him who cleared anyway...If not...I thought Warnock played ok still.
Luke Young had a nightmare, Collins made my heart skip a beat ever time he touched the ball...Dunne didn't play well either, but Collins was more to blame for the mistakes.
Ashley Young was being wasted wherever he was being played tonight.
Warnock was more a generalisation due to him being shit most the time but agree he was alright today. Young was playing exacly where he keeps saying he wants to be played and I doubt Houllier would be playing him there if he wasn't being put under pressure from Young IMO.

Like tehm or not you have to admire them. They have been wrote off so many times and tehy keep coming back like yesterday.
I wouldnt mind if they won league (dont think they will). Be better than the other 4 teams[/quote]
You don't have a lot of tottenham supporting mates do you? It would be disastrous.

If we can keep hold of them both, Bannan and Delph should be one of the most complete midfields we've had for a long time.
I'm very excited to see this.
Me too, though the only slight reservation would be the fact that in a 4-4-2 the midfield would lack balance with three left-footers. Less of a problem with 4-4-1-1 (provided the withdrawn striker does his job properly) or in the more fluid system which GH prefers.
Don't really see a problem here. Most teams have at least 3 right footers in midfield. Don't see why having same amount just left-footed makes a difference. Also worked fine against Fulham with Clarke in centre mid.

Whats the difference between an onion and a dead hooker?
I cried when I cut the onion.

Harrison landed a grand total of 1 punch in the entire fight.

I read the other day that Edexcel (exam board) made £70m pre-tax (I think) profits. I think this is appalling considering this is pretty much taxpayer money going straight into their pocket. Having done a bit of background reading on the subject close to 20 schools could be run with that. Surely the government should be privatising this sector and saving money this way considering that exams are compulsory. They could save cut on other areas on the economy though I accept that this is a fairly small amount in relation to the rest of the economy.

Just got back, proud of the lads after that display.
No doubt they'll be sick as **** that they never won.
Oh and why did Ash get booked and Vidic didn't?
Also in the "It Says It All" news, Manyure fans had a flag that said "We are Man Utd- We Do What We want"
Arrogant cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunts
thats cockneys for you
Hey don't offend some of my mates by calling them cockneys :winkold:

Haye to win in 4 but Audley to get an early knockdown. Will still be an annihilation.
-
Didn't even show Albrighton getting fouled for the penalty shout.
-
How good is that guy though?
-
If I could have one small criticism of him though (apart from his size, but then Scholes is tiny too), he looks a bit one footed. Not that a lot of good players aren't one footed, but he needs to work on that if he's going to play a lot of games as CM
He can use his right foot though as evidenced by his pass through to Luke Young for that chance just before the goal.

started off as IK Start in Norway. Fun so far. 5 cleansheets in.
That could be quite interesting with the dynamic league thing.
-
That looked painful fair tackle though.
-
Goallllllllllllllllll
-
Looks like Villa have found a decent penalty taker then.
-
Must admitted I was amazed when we brought him on and played him in central midfield. Did alright in fairness.
Reminds me of Maloney a bit in terms of stature and the way he plays.
Still not sure whether he'll make it here but seems GH rates him so he'll get plenty of chances to prove his worth.
Why? His natural position is centre mid.

Does anyone think that Cuellar not playing is to do with how he trains? Seem to remember Sidwell (it was definitely a Villa player) doing the 'team-mates' thing at the end and he said Cuellar was the worst trainer. All he tried to do was take it round players and never took it seriously. Only thing I can think of as a reason.
