Yet another row of hard games in Dcember (but not majorly hard) Livrpool, Chelsea and then Spurs. We could win one and maybe draw 2.

Last season with a demotivated, useless squad and a crap manager we got 4 points from those two away matches, and a point from the home one.

Just picked up two shirts, one for me and one for gf. I like the material, I like the fact I can get into a medium, the design and colours are fine - I honestly don't know what people are whinging about.

Oh, and that goth girl who works in the New St store is a fox.

Having looked at all the games, I reckon we're highly likely to feature on TV. Some of the opening gmes are just cack or uninteresting.

I think Sky decide in the next two weeks as to the first tranche of televised games.

In some respects, the fact he was compensated for leaving does suggest that yes, he was "pushed" although I do agree the mechanics of quite how the definition of "pushed" was arrived at might seem a little strange to an untrained eye.

It looks as if his average playing time when subbed on or off was just over 45 mins, so he wasn't a bit part player.

Pretty sure I remember him being left out because he was mostly garbage. His tackling stats were some of the worst in the Prem and definately the worst in the squad. He was average at best and that's pushing it a bit.

Not sure why the rose tinted glasses as he really was/is not good enough for us and I expect Lambert to see that quickly and get rid.

Most of our defence can't tackle either, well not without either injuring someone or conceding a penalty anyhow. Ashley Young couldn't make a tackle to save his life, I guess he was of no value to the midfield either?

I always he thought he looked like he had a keen eye for a pass, but was just completely wasted in the team because it wasn't set up to play to his strengths. Sure he's lightweight and can't tackle, but I hope he's given a proper opportunity by Lambert rather than just being shipped out again.

Reminds me of the time back in 1990 that I was off to university. At the time Birmingham was voted the 2nd worst accent in Britain. Couldn't get much worse than that. Except I was off to Bristol, home of the number one spot in the same survey.

Such a shame they installed those gates at Villa park. Players used to openly chat with the fans before and after the game. Even during the darkest days of Ellis, there was never any threat to players or staff.

I remember there was a secure car park where Ellis parkd his RR. And these days the gates are probably just as much to protect the millions of pounds worth of cars that sit within them.

Watched some of the video - lots of comments about "there are special victories in the history of many teams that need celebrating" and stuff.

Oh and I still reckon it's going to say "Genting" and not "Genting Casinos" this year.

I reckon the opinion will be firmly in the like rather than dislike camp on the 15th.

Oh, and goalkeepers should always wear green. This trend for different colours is horrid.

Taken a 4 day sabbatical from VT now that the manager's in place, came back to not only find Richard's *still* feeling positive but now CI is too :shock:

The Lambert effect must be contagious.

Thank god I wasn't anywhere near blades or other sharp objects before I read that. Last season felt like lots of mini-disappointments on a regular basis, it's not fun to merge them all into one flowing sequence.
