  1. Why stop at the manager. Sack all the xunting players. Failures to the core. **** football **** villa and **** everyone from randy to the tea lady. you can all drop dead for all i care. lowest point in aeons. This team are a **** tragedy from beginning to end. Fuckk off and die the lot of them. **** being so angry i type such unpleasant shit as this. I hate feeling this way. What **** bad karma did we commit to deserve this wank? **** you lerner. **** you paul. **** the players. Labotomised semi functioning half aborted foetus'. **** everything about tonight. **** this post. **** me.

Pretty much nailed it mate :(

  2. That fuckwitt Faulkner should follow him out the door for sanctioning the most ridiculous managerial appointment in history.

I mean, every one but every one (bar SAF as someone pointed out) could see that this was NEVER, EVER going to work. Yet a CEO of a top Premiership football demonstrated gross incompatence by appointing this moron?

Surely PF is more to blame than anyone else here? Be gone with you Paul you tit

  3. Houllier was right about Warnock

Gérard Houllier may have been wrong about many things in his short-lived spell at Villa but he appears he was right about one: Stephen Warnock is a liability. After heading into his own goal under absolutely no pressure during Aston Villa's 2-2 draw with QPR, against Newcastle the left-back needed to start trying to salvage a reputation that has descended into farce in the past 18 months. It is hard to imagine that some people once considered Warnock to be the best English left-back after Ashley Cole (Leighton Baines probably was not among these, mind).

Misplaced passes, a tendency to dawdle in possession and overly aggressive tackles to atone for his mistakes (viz the lunge that ended Ryan Taylor's game prior to Demba Ba's opener) have become the defender's stock in trade these days. He may have played no part in England's diabolical World Cup 2010 campaign but he, more than any other player in the 23-man squad, appears to have brought its stench home with him. He made Gabriel Obertan look like a world-beater at times on Sunday – a staggering feat. And he looked panicked in possession. At 30 years of age, and with hundreds of Premier League games behind him, he should at least look assured on the ball. He does not. Alex McLeish needs to make a populist decision or two to win over disgruntled Villa fans. Dropping Warnock would be a start.

Agree, this is the nail on the head. I have been saying this for months. The bloke is a total complete and utter liability. I am baffled that this guy gets paid 25k or so per week.

He is nowhere near good enough. How oh how oh how oh how does he keep getting picked? How can Eck not see that Warnock is complete garbage.

I'm in total despair. In my eyes this is the worst Villa player I have ever, ever seen. This is not an overreaction, this is genuinely how I feel after much consideration. Previously it was Carlton Cole who was garbage when he was here on loan but that's another debate altogether.

I would stick Guzan and LB before I pick Warnock. I've had enough of him. Can't take any more! GET RID NOW!

  4. Let's hope his wages aren't a problem for the club...

When was the last time wages were a problem after having a fee agreed?

I can't think of any examples during the Lerner era.

    Anybody?

None that I'm aware of, however...

I'm not saying wages will be a problem BUT as RL, PF and AM will know how the forthcoming UEFA restrictions will affect the structure of the club, I can't imagine them saying "name your price" (as it seemed with a few of MON's signings).

Provided CNZ doesn't take the p!ss with his demands, it's looking good! 8)

Actually there is a recent nealry signing. Fofana from Le Harve in Jabuary. We had him in for talks after a deal was agreed, then it went tits skywards due to wage demands.

I think that was a case of him being too greedy rather than us not being able to afford his wages. Well I hope so anyway.

Never mind, we got Makoun instead!

  5. Thorougly, thoroughly depressed tonight. We have absolutely **** all creativity in our team and our defence is falling apart at the seems. I would happily swap Warnock for a chocalate fire guard. He is totally hopeless. Complete liability. 9 times out of 10 when the ball drops over his shoulder and he is running towards his own goal, he completely **** it up (cheap corner for first goal tonight is one of many examples).

I still think Gerard should be given a chance. Sorry but any team would struggle if they had the amount of injuries we have suffered this season. Especially us seeing as we have one of the smallest squads in the league.

I am ABSOLUTELY **** SICK TO DEATH OF HAVING THE SMALLEST SQUAD IN THE **** LEAGUE. This is going on 10 years or more since before DOL. Will we ever have anything other than a small squad?

Anyway, in my state of depression, I've had a look back at the league table at this same stage from the last 3 seasons.

    YEAR POS P W D L F A W D L F A GD PTS

    09/10 3rd 16 5 2 1 16 6 3 3 2 10 8 12 29

    08/09 5th 16 3 4 1 10 7 5 0 3 15 11 7 28

    07/08 8th 16 5 0 4 13 12 3 3 1 14 7 8 27

    10/11 16th 16 3 4 1 12 9 1 1 6 5 18 -10 17

(Sorry about the format of the table. Just goes like this when copied form xls)

As expected, this is by far the worst we have fared after the same amount of games over the last 3 seasons. We are 12 points worse off than last year, 13 league places, have scored 9 less goals and conceeded 13 goals MORE this season than last.

Worst of all, our goal difference is 22 worse off than last season!

We have only lost Milner from last year's playing squad and this is the difference. The manager and injuries obviously play a mojor part here but the difference is unbelievable.

I say wait until we have a fully fit squad and Gerard brings one or two in before being too hasty and calling for his head.

Trust me, I am as pissed off with anyone else with the way things are going at the minute but amongst all this depression and anger I can't help but think Houllier hasn't had a fair crack of the whip yet

  6. Most of the ratings were spot on I though except to give big JC a 6. Maybe in the first half, but in the second he really caused Everton all sorts of problems with his strength and pace. A couple of mazy runs could easily have resulted in a goal.

I still think we look much more of a goal threat with JC and Gabby upfront.

I thought 5 was a bit generous for Downing also. He had an absolute shocker beyond belief.

  7. Does anyone know when tickets are going on sale for the West Ham match? I'm waiting rather anxiously for some info as I'll be coming over from Belfast and already have my flights & hotel booked.

Needless to say I will be absolutely inconsolible if I don't get a pair of tickets for the match!

    Anyone any ideas? Thanks!

Yes the ticket section of the official site.

  8. Time to offload both Heskey and Carew in the summer. They are no longer good enough to take us where we want to go. I would also add Sidwell, Petrov, Harewood, Osbourne and Petrov to that little list.

I would also add Petrov, Petrov and Petrov.

    :winkold:

Are you mad? He is one of the best midfielders in the Prem and the only player we have who doesn't hoof the ball when we are under pressure.

Quality player. He's been brilliant for a while now after a dodgey start

  9. **** get in there! Jeezuz we don't make it easy do we? Absolutely thrilled to bits as at 2-0 down I was so pissed off and angry I could have strangled a puppy. But we got the bit of luck we have been due when the first goal went in, though it wasn't that obvious a foul to mel.

Guzan 5 - Very dodgey with crosses and for their 4th goal which he really should have kept out. I'd still keep him in for the final as if it was't for him we wouldn't have got there.

Warnock - 7 - Guzan didn't do him any favours for the first goal but started to get forward and support Downing and took his goal well on his unfavoured right foot. Pretty solid thereafter

Dunne 8 - What a signing. City are mad for letting him go and we have ourselves a real gem. Goes a long way to repalcing the irreplacable Laursen.

Collins 6 - Not at his best tonight. He really surprised me how good he

was when we signed him. Could turn out to be one of the bargains of the season. Well done MON, you are forgven for Routledge!

Cuellar 5 - Was definately our weak link tonigh. Much better when he plays in the centre. Similare to Mellberg in a way. Luke Young is a far more assured right back and we are spoiled for centre backs at the minute which is no bad thing!

Downing - 6 - Not as effective as he has been in recent weeks but showed glimpses of the quality player that he is. Great signing

Milner 8 - Just keeps getting better and better. Pretty quiet for most of the first half but gradually came into it in the second when we actually knocked the ball around nicely at times. Great penalty and a lovely through ball for Heskey's goal. Top quality

Petrov - 8 (MOM) - My MOM tonight, I thought he was excellent. Broke up the play and calmed things down just when we needed it. Rarely hoofs the ball in a panic. Technically very good to watch.

Young 7 - Didn't get at them enough until the second half. Seems to be lacking confidence in certain situations when he has an opportunity to take on opponents. Came into it more as the game went on and a brilliant goal which hopefully will give him the boost he needs! When on form, there are few better players in Eurpoe let alone the Premiership.

Agbonlahor - 6 Really desperately needs a proper goal. He may well have been credited with what seemed like Milner's 2nd but he is not putting away the chances presented to him at the moment which is a concern. A bloody good job Samba brought him down for the pen as he looked like he was going to trip over the ball anyway! I still feel he needs to bury one in the roof of the net to get his confidence back. Hopefully soon!

Heskey - 7 -I am by no means a fan of Heskey but thought he done quite well tonight. Some neat touches and he even got a goal! Absolutely loved the rendition of 'Heskey scored my Lord, Heskey Scored..'. Briliant stuff! The big man put in a shift tonight though I'll give him that

  10. To be fair they battered us in the 2nd half but we hung in there and Big Bradley would have saved cannon balls! Easily player of the tournament. Del Piero's penatly was absolutely horrific. Even if Guzan had have dived left or right he still would have been able to pick himself up, trot over to the centre of the goal and kick it away!

Thought Del Piero gave us plenty to worry about as he is top quality still. What a **** muppet though!

I couldn't fit out the door going to work this morning cos of the wide grin on my face! :)

    WELL DONE BOYS!!! YEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
