  1. Exhibit A

    Exhibit B

Pot Kettle Black as usual when it comes to Spurs and 'Arry.

    Far from it.

Harry Redknapp was Portsmouth manager at the time of the Campbell incident and was just as outspoken against Spurs fans at that time as he's against the Arsenal ones now. Harry has a track record of being outspoken againt player abuse and I'm fairly certain he wouldn't mind commenting on his own fan group neither. He didn't change his mind about the Campbell incident after joining Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur worked with the police at the time to hunt down the supporters who were at the game and shouted abuse at Campbell. I'm sure you noticed as it was rather high profile in the media with some supporters alledged to have shouted abuse having their pictures and names posted in media

If it were Spurs supporters commenting about the Adebayor chantings then you'd have a point. Im sure there are examples of that on the web as well though.

Must have missed him speaking out against the Wenger chants at the weekend then.

I'd prefer him to focus on the football to be honest,

he's no superhero sent to save the world.

He comments about the abuse Adebayor went through,

cause that's what he got feedback about.

If Wenger had gone up to him and complained I'm sure he'd talk about that as well. The club however have reacted together with Arsenal about the foul chanting from both sides. No one at the clubs want to hear stuff like this from the stands.

  3. 3 and half year in Tottenham and 51 appearances. Spurs fans think he is woody.

We don't need him. Young and Lichaj are better

There's a long term injury and a loan spell at Sunderland in those 3 years.

Hutton have done well for us, just that we have better / more promising players and Hutton's contract is expiring.

Has much more to his game than Young, and by far much better than Lichaj.

Closer to Downing in quality in my opinion, though positions are difficult to compare. I expect him to be a key player if he moves.

  4. Gawd if I never see Terry, Lumpard and Ferdinand in an England shirt again I'll be happy.

Out with the old, including Cappello. Harry for England.

I fear Harry more than anyone would hold onto the experienced players and build the team around them, especially his nephew Lampard

Oh yea, In my opinion it's an embarrasment that England have foreign manager. That's something only nations without history and infrastructure should employ.

  5. Yeah Shakhtar away would probably be the hardest match you can get. They beat Spurs a season or two ago too in the Europa League.

Redknapp threw that game, rather even between the two sides despite Spurs fielding mostly reserves and teenagers. I'm sure Shakhtar have improved since then as well, but the current Spurs team would walk over the Shakhtar side of back then.

Srna, Rat, Fernandinho, Marcelo Moreno, Douglas Costa, Eduardo, Jadson.

Lots of quality in their squad, and many brazilians.

If we should go past Milan they wouldn't be my first choice opponent, as they're strong but lack glamour. Inter and Milan have been awesome to play against and I'd love to get Barcelona or/and Real Madrid as well this season. Worst draw would be another english club.

  6. Spurs undoubtedly play a long ball game ... .

Spurs play in various ways, including wing-based play (more than any other team in the Prem) .

You use so much wing play that Bale and Lennon have a combined 3 assists in the league this season.

Albrighton has that many on his own.

Just the way the ball rolls,

Bale haven't had too many direct assists this season,

but he's been third last on the ball a lot. A lot of our play comes through him.

Not to mention he's scored 11 in all competitions half way through the season.

Most of Crouch's assists to VDV have come from the right side,

though much have been pull backs for deep crosses.

Lennon could definitely be more productive.

  7. A year? That's simply not true. He only started getting into the team at LB last Jan (and wasn't even any good), it wasn't until March where he moved to the wing and started to play well.

Well, you are wrong. Bale came in at left full back when Assou-Ekotto picked up an injury and he did perform from first kick of the ball.

Being Tottenham's Man of the Match over and over again - and second best the few times someone was better. Contrary to what many believe Bale also delivered in january, february and march - from the left fullback position.

It was however with the victories against United and the "top 4" that the hype started.

Player of the month the entire second half of the season, the part of the season where Tottenham settled the battle for fourth and champions league

  8. MON outspent Redknapp tho!? In fact, MON outspent almost everybody!

In the 4 years MON was at Villa, we were the 6th highest spending club in the country (United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Citeh were above us). Redknapp may not have spent as much (mainly because he was only at Spurs half the time MON was at Villa), but the value of the squad he inherited + his spendings we quite a way above what MON spent on us.

Which is also a reason why don't understand alot of criticism about MON. 6th highest spenders and he finished 6th 3 straight seasons. Yet some are convinced his signings were sit, his football was shit and he ws a shit manager.. yeah, I suppose we had a 60 point head start every seasonthen?

Good points, but as for net spent Villa were fourth behind City, Spurs and Sunderland. Of course that doesn't take into inherited squads and not to mention the wage budget which is really what pulls and keeps players at your club.

  9. Bent couldn't play the Spurs way. He was the wrong player for them. Square peg, round hole. We know all about that here. Spurs are too technical for him. He needs to be chasing after balls that are coming over his shoulder (fnarr fnarr). Not dinking around with triangles outside the 18yd box. He was right to move on and Spurs were right to sell him. I just wish we'd bought him cuz he'd have fitted right in with our style of play.

    Good post

Bent is a far far far more prolific striker than Jermaie Defoe, and he was your best after Berbatov's exit.

Actually, even with the good season Bent had last season for Sunderland, his Premier League minutes played to goal ratio was the same as Jermain Defoe's. Bent scored many penalties, Defoe scored most of his goals in first half of the season.

  10. There's not a chance of Daniel Levy doing business with City after the way they messed him about in the summer over the potential signings of Bellamy and Richards. The only English team that -may- have a shot at signing him would be Chelsea. But I reckon he'll end up at Barcelona or Real Madrid at the end of the 2011-2012 season.

He won't be at spurs next season. Don't be so sure that Levy wouldn't be interested, he's a businessman and the mark up profit on Bale going to city would be too good to turn down.

Selling our stars to City puts them 100% ahead of us, and closes the door for future Champions League participation. That's not good for the business.

People talking about Levy rather have £35m ... only money he'd accept without serious pressure from Bale and his agent is the kind of money that would pay 1/3 or 1/4 of our new planned stadium.

  11. It's amusing a small north London club that has spent 47 years not good enough to be classed as top flight standard have such a high opinion of themselves.

They've only won 2 of the main 2 competitions full stop - and managed the lofty total of one runner up in the big 2 competitions outside 1950 to 1963.

Bless them, they really do have ideas above their station!

Some would say that FA cup has its value as well - it used to be one of the highest regarded tournament in football you know, and before Premier League started and created a set elite of clubs,Tottenham was the most winning team in its history.

Also the UEFA cup and Cup winner cup wasn't any less difficult to win back then than the European cup before it turned into Champions League.

Tottenham have always been a cup team, inconsistent and always entertaining. The glory team. The league honors at Tottenham isn't much to brag about for a club of Tottenham's size. I think most Spurs fans are aware of this, it's not where the club have made its fame to be honest.

What's the point in this though, it's been gone through several times already in this thread alone. And soon you'll have Glaston here pointing out that most of Villa's trophies were won in ancient times when the ball was made of wood.

  12. he hasnt turned up

Not true, just media making a spin of Redknapp's bad taste of humour.

He said he hadn't seen him yet, and that he might take the wife on a trip to Spain to see him play. Media made a big deal about Sandro not having turned up when he should have, which just isn't true.

Sandro has been a week or so at Spurs Lodge, there are pictures and interviews of him on the net. Do believe he's on international duty with Brazil at the moment, but he'll return for next week and will be available for selection for our next game.

  13. van der Vaart endears himself to his new fans

Van der Vaart: United on another level

New Tottenham signing Rafael van der Vaart reckons Manchester United are the only club that can be compared with Real Madrid.

Dutch midfielder Van der Vaart completed a surprise deadline day move from the Bernabeu to Spurs.

He said: "I could never play for another club in Spain.

"If you are leaving Real Madrid, there is only one club that you can join that is not a step down - and that is Manchester United."

The Reds have been linked with 27-year-old Van der Vaart in the past, but the midfielder says he is "totally happy" with his move to White Hart Lane.

    Nicely played, Rafa.

United comments are old, don't know if he said it to convince the media that he was happy at Real or whether he was angling for a move to United. What does it matter though ...

These are not comments made after he moved to Tottenham, everything I've read points to him being happy with the move and eager to get his career back on track.

  14. It's been difficult since there's no activity in the market, if we were to bring more players in there had to be some going out as well (wage budget & 25 man rule) and there just weren't any takers. Also the top targets were either not willing to move or their clubs not interested to sell within reason. I'm sure we'd prefer to have someone like Dzeko, but there just weren't any candidates this time around.

    All in all the transferwindow was good for Spurs though;

Pletikosa, Gallas, Sandro and van der Vaart in.

New contracts for King, Bale, Modric - no key players wanting out.

  15. diego has joined wolfsburg for £12m, another one that makes the milner deal seem that little bit dafter IMO

He only joined Juventus a year ago for about £20m too. They took a €10m (about £8m) hit on him in twelve months. He played quite well over there too, didnt he? Very bizarre deal.

Diego have fell through at both Juventus and Porto,

in Europe the only place he really have shined is at Werder Bremen.

He's the kind of player that need the whole team built around him,

    in the no 10 role.

  16. Jenas, Bentley and Keane are all on heavy wages at Tottenham.

no more than we've got heskey on

Jenas and Bentley on slightly less, Keane on slightly more.

I'm sure Lerner would love to get Heskey off the pay roll as well though.

Villa are in real need of rebuilding the squad and lower the wages,

just a shame that the transfer market is so dead these days.

  17. Jenas, Bentley and Keane are all on heavy wages at Tottenham.

I wouldn't take them if I was you, much smarter to take the money and invest in players that are on the way up and won't cost as much in wages.

If Tottenham are pushing for Young, I'd try to get Giovani in exchange.

Use the money on players like Begovic, Lustig, Annan, N'Zogbia, Toivonen in stead. Much better value.

  18. Also isnt he statistacally Englands 2nd best manager after Ramsey. Actually did a very good job at England which English fans dont realise. has been all downhill since he left

Not really true, Capello (67.9% win ratio) is statistically best England manager ever, above Ramsey (61.1%). After Ramsey it's Glenn Hoddle (60.7%, most atractive football as well) and Ron Greenwood (60%) before Svennis (59.7%).

Capello let England down in the World Cup but results have been excellent before it.
