that wasn't given because there was not "clear and obvious" evidence that the arm was inside the box.

Yeah, this is baffling, they know it was handball, but not sure whether it was inside or outside the box. Did they give a free kick or just played on?

  2. Got this off the S24SU forum posted by someone called Revolution (could not copy entire post) did not realize their record was so bad at VP

    Quote

United last won at Villa in the League in 1966, and we are winless in the 14 games played since. This is our current longest league game winless run against any team. We did of course win there in the FA Cup 10 seasons ago.

    In addition:

We lost 16 straight league games at Villa between 1902-3 and 1921-22.

We won there in 1922-3, drew the next 3…and then lost the next 10.

Our record at Villa Park is wretched, and it ain’t improving on Friday.

A couple of areas of my back garden lawn have sunk slightly over a couple of years and I’m planning to get a big bag of top soil to level it off, then grass seed it.

That'll be the dead bodies decomposing😁

About Christmas being cancelled in Sheffield? haha nice one though was obviously tongue in cheek!

They're still bitching about the non goal, we would be in League 1 without that but of luck😁

Classic from the wife here, this is the reason I suspect there are relatively few women in high power jobs. They say stuff which makes complete sense to them but not anyone else.

The daughter is off school today as she’s not feeling well.
I go upstairs, wife is working in the spare room, daughter is actually in the bathroom.

Me to daughter after finishing my meeting: “Would you like some dinner doing?”

Wife from behind the spare room door: “I’ve already done it”

Me: “oh ok no problem”, goes back to work.

    30 minutes later

Irate wife: “why didn’t you do her dinner???”

Me: “you said you’d already done it?”

Irate wife: Yes I made it earlier, it’s in the fridge and needed bringing up

Mutters something about needing to do everything herself as she stomped off

    :bang:

Maybe the batteries need replacing in your crystal ball 🤷

You need to understand VAR a bit better. It makes Refs lazy shits, knowing that VAR will look and give them a second chance.

This is the worst part about VAR, just look at our ghost goal against Sheffield United, neither the ref nor assistant ref were even looking to see if the ball crossed the line. That's absolute basic reffing, which they do not do because of technology. VAR is dumbing down referees.

I can definitely see both sides on this one. I don't own one and I won't be going into Primark to pick up a stock one that's as funny as a burning orphanage. But I would buy a niche one online from a creator I like. Someone like Jim'll Paint It does some I wouldn't mind owning. So yeah I'm a yes on Christmas jumpers but only the cleverer ones.

    I love Still Game

  8. Me and my partner have nicknames for most of our neighbours. Some are

Captain Cockwash (no blind at his bathroom window when he has a shower)

Sheila (from Shameless as he cleans like he's on speed)

Uncle Colm (from Derry Girls as she is boring)

Lilo Lil (from Bread as she is a tart)

Peter (Stringfellow, as he is 80 years old and walks round his garden in just Speedos in summer)

Maffu (his name is Matthew and is a bit thick)

Olive (Oyl from Popeye as she is very tall and skinny)

I know that feeling mate, and I remind myself that one day when the kids are old enough they will know who was there for them.

They do know a lot more now and they are good kids, I guess the thing that tires me out a bit is that we have them way more than their dad does and sometimes Id like a bit more peace n quiet 😅

When the wife is frustrated with the ex she doesn't go off at him, and I understand why, it's easier to play the long game. However it usually means I am the firing line then and that's the thing that really gets on my cheese.

At the same time now my daughter has grown up and moved away it is nice to be needed and to see the kids grow up with respect for their mum, and me around to be a grumpy bastard when needed lol.

Subconsciously your step kids will know that their father is selfish and it is you who is there for them. As they mature they will learn to appreciate that, and you doing the right thing and playing the long game will pay off. They will get sick and tired of him letting them down to do his own thing.

Being in the firing line is in the small print of the marriage vows which we never read 😁.

They say a father's job is to allow their wife to be a good mother, and it seems you do this and the other guy doesn't.

Full of respect for you and keep up the good work, the rewards will come later.

Just read a few pages on their forum

They legitimately think there’s a PGMOL conspiracy against them due to Arteta speaking out 😂

Some also think UE plays cowardly football. Bitter.

Imagine the progress they'll make with facilities like that?  In ten years they might occasionally pass as mediocre.  We may as well pack up and go home lads

If that boot room works it's magic, in three years they will have their boots on the correct feet and in five years learnt to tie their laces. They'll be unstoppable.

I notice they signed three year deal to train at Wasps old traing ground, it's got all small heath branding now, and they've called it, 'the elite performance and innovation centre', one of the features is a kit room with 'state of the art utilities' and then shows the room and it's just shirts hanging up and on shelves, and they say they've added a second pitch, surely they've got more than two - edit just read that their academy and women still train at Wast Hills, was wondering what had happened to that, I know some of their fans were complainin g because apparently one of our satelite academies trains nearby which they saw as encroaching on their territory

Is that the one just outside Henley?
