Real Madrid being linked to Bruno Guimaraes would be good for us in next 2-3 years given he'd be cheaper than Bellingham.
Look at Newcastle's results with him in/out of team in last 12 months, crucial for how they play in midfield given the supporting cast is Longstaff and Willock.
Newcastle are not going to be remotely in our orbit in the next few years. They are the richest club in the world and will spend like it.
Whoever they sell, they will replace. They are on another level entirely now.

no need to google , surely after all these years you've worked out that anyone / anything good in real life = bad on VT
see Thatcher , Beatles , Brexit etc for further proof
You think Mother Theresa was good and that the nasty things she did was because of Villa Talk?

Could be due to the fact that it's a Palace forum.
So every clubs forums always predict their team to win? That's just not true at all. In fact, the reason I pointed it out was because it was against the norm, as someone who regularly trawls other fans forums to read their views from another perspective.

They need to beat Forrest or Brentford next I think.
It's funny how often people spell Forest with 2 R's. It wouldn't be in predictive text so you'd have to actively spell it that way and I think it's a throw back to Craig Forrest the goalkeeper.
Can't think of any other reason. Not a dig at you, I see it often. Just musing as to why people do it. Not that it matters.

United has had a home tie in every round of both cup competitions.
Nothing strange about that at all.
That's just the way it goes. They got lucky. Which they seem to very often. But that's all it is.

12,000 at Stoke tonight. Against Premier League opposition and for a place in the FA Cup quarter finals.
Congratulations to the FA for totally destroying this once great trophy.

I think there are a couple of better keepers than him around, in the same way as I thought one or two like Baresi were probably slightly better than McGrath. But the point of comparison is that I never realistically thought, after McGrath, that we would once again have someone in the discussion as the best player in their position in the world. Cherish it as these things go by quickly.
Yeah I agree. He is a good goalkeeper but not the best in the world. He has won this award because of the World Cup and not because of his performances for the year at Villa.
That said, it's great for the club to have a player win such an award and it shows you don't have to be playing for CL club to do it.*
*(Just winning the world cup with Messi in your team will do)
Well done Emi.

Palace forum has pretty much all of them expecting them to win.
2-0 or 2-1 to them seems a common prediction. With a couple opting for them to win 3-0!
I guess that's what happens when you lose so often at home, other teams don't fear coming to play you.
We badly need a win here.

The mythical top half is winking at us again. That means we will either fail to win, or we win and Chelsea beat Leeds, meaning STILL no top half.
But I'd take the latter. And that's what I expect to happen.
2-1 Villa
Edit: Wrong thread. Oops

Why are Sky being so obsessive over Newcastle
Yeah I can't think why journalists might not want to upset their owners....

Interestingly, I can't recall a single moment Motty/Villa moment.
Unless maybe Dean Saunders from 40 yards v Ipswich?

Gone at 77.
The sound of football for me as a kid. FA Cup 3rd round day, along with Tonny Gubba and Barry Davies.
Then theres the England internationals, the Cup final and the early editions of FIFA on the PlayStation.
Legend.

Mother Teresa must be on any shortlist of most evil people to have ever lived. I suspect that's not what you were aiming for with your analogy.
Absolutely. Christopher Hitchens did some great stuff on her. She was the worst of the worst. Evil masquerading as a Saint.

Boxing. And moreover, the modern day so called Boxing "fan".
20 years ago I swear hardly anyone watched it (other than the big heavyweight fights)
Nowadays it seems the world and his dog has an opinion and every single fight on the planet.
Then when you look at the people who are actually there, they seem to be the absolute dregs of society. The worst of the football hooligans.
A total chav sport. At least it is these days.

Joe Gomez, thankfully we never signed him in the end. Would have been worse than Richards
Surprised Southgate hasnt tried a Maguire/Gomez duo
Could pair him up with a Leeds defender and have the Gomez Adams duo. Be good for Sheff "Wednesday".

Terrible. Weak as piss folding yet again. Back to back 4-2 home defeats having been in front 3 times.
Fear it'll be 4 losses in a row by the time we play Palace. Sickening

Hopefully another title win for him
So you've got no problem with the Villa (as well as every other cub in the country) being cheated by Man City and their dodgy regime then?
Seriously?

If they win the title this season it's a total farce
Of course they will win the title. They were always going to. And yes, it is a total sham.

We have just lost our last 2 games.
Yes and that's why we haven't managed to get into the top half. I'm beginning to think we won't spend a single minute on the top half this season. Seems everytime we get close we balls it up and the teams above us won't keep slipping up.
-
As I said in another thread, Liverpool will qualify for Europe and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 4th. They will improve and have a game in hand.
Interesting that even if we beat Arsenal we STILL wouldn't be in the top half.

They won't be in ANY trouble. Even if they did end up in the bottom 3, everyone above them would suddenly get points deductions to ensure they don't flush.
'Tis written in the stars.
