  1. Just buy a pay as you go iPhone and unlock it to your current contract whoever it may be with.

I hear that apple/O2 have software updates to ensure that certain features are not supported if you go outside the O2 contract. I am currently with vodafone who really can't offer anything remotely close to an iphone.

  2. It is probably worth it, as I use my phone for a camera if out and about, I really don't want to be carrying an extra camera around. Plus I like the idea of tethering, although O2 are charging an additional premium for this.

  3. Is there any reason to go for the standard (ie cheaper i phone) compared to the 3g s?

Also is it worth taking the apple iphone protection plan? Does O2 have an insurance plan that covers this too? What is the warranty on the phone?

  4. I am going to get myself an iphone 3g s.

I could be pikey and go for the standard 3g, but what the hell. £35/month contract alhtough I was wondering if you can get additional text bolt-ons?

  5. I am getting back into it - my mage dinged 44 last night. I had enough gold from my druid to allow my mage to dual spec both Frost and Arcane. While frost is good for surability, arcane gives you nice little spells/tricks to beat players in pvp (such as silencing etc).

Anyone recommend any other MMORPG - LOTRO? Warhammer?

  6. Ok, I've worked out a possible way to get the i phone cheaper and on a 12 month contract. How about buying the handset as a pay as you go for roughly £440. Then you get a 12 month simplicity contract at £19 a month, which includes more texts and minutes. You can have a web browsing free bolt on and the wi fi added on for £7, which works out roughly £100 and you aren't on an 18 month contract.

    Am I right?

  7. Is there any news on whether Orange will be selling iphones?

I dont want to have to change my number ideally.

You don't have to, just give them your PAC code and they'll do a number port.

  8. Barca's problem is that they are trying to play through Chelsea, which isn't going to work with two banks of 4 players in a line. Their best bet is to stretch the game out wide. A couple of times Messi has got the better of Ashley Cole. Also I wouldn't play Et'O wide right, he is wasted there.

I can see Barca **** this up.

  9. they're introuding ID cards into manchester first i hear, on a voluntary basis.

Up to £60 a go each.

Oooooh, that sounds exciting, think i'll go an regsiter for that now. Just need 3 £20 notes and a lighter.

Who the feck, in their right mind, is going to voluntyeer to have one, ata cost of £60 to themselves?

They'll be some idiots, trust me, who think that having this ID card will help catch terrorists.

  10. Can someone answer a question for me.

If the conservatives come to power next year, and they have stated they will scrap the ID card scheme - do you think they can actually do that if the present government has committed to it?

  11. Well the BoE will make a decision on interest rates today and people are forecasting that it will stay at 0.5% which I don't really see the point of, they should just follow the USA example and put them down to 0% not that any banks are likely to pass on rate cuts to the consumer.

  12. love to know who voted no

    There's always one

    I voted no.

Not because I don't need more money, but because the answer yes is too obvious.

(actually as long as my mortgage is paid off I am not too fussed about having shed loads of cash)

  13. Are those the 'check if they are working at a set time' kind of tests?

I honestly don't know. TBH it's usually the last thing on my mind at work. It sounds crazy I know, but having a million other things to worry about this does not really come into my list of things to be concerned about. Just writing it out makes me sound stupid I know.
