I'm pretty sure he'll sign. I heard something earlier in the week and I'm willing to stake my stellar VT reputation on it.

World class, who?
The DM who's been starting for the world champions?

The amount of times our players slip over it would be good to have someone who can walk on water

The players we have signed recently, current teams fans all think " they are too good for us " which is a good sign.
Yeah I actually think we might already have outs lined up.
Ollie was 33 mill from the Championship a couple years ago
Weirdly they all become 'shite' after signing for us

One of the most respected spurs itk accounts on their forum says bissouma to them isn't gonna happen so good news for us hopefully

To be fair to Newcastle fans, 90% of the posts on a board I just checked were a combination of congratulating Villa on good business, hoping their management team were watching in terms of getting business done quickly, and supportive of either one of us cracking the top 6.
Every team has its share of fans who are bitter clearings in the woods.
I like Newcastle - proper club and you'd be hard pushed to call them plastics in any universe.
Twitter is an absolute cesspit tbf, the worst of all fanbases on there

We also have some very promising 17 year olds at CB who we should be able to bring into the fold in 3/4 years time

Van Dijk is 30. Can you honestly say you would not sign him if the opportunity arose because of that?
Don't be bringing your sound logic round here pal

Does anyone else hold the same concern that we have all our business wrapped up by June 15th and the rest of the summer will be really boring? How else am I gonna procrastinate at work

He’ll massively improve a Villa or Newcastle central midfield, he has it all. Imho just as good as £125m Rice, but the latter’s a few years younger.
Pace, mobility, relentlessly eliminating danger, justified arrogance.
I hope he goes to a 2022/23 CL club instead——
Villa or Newcastle would feel like a waste of his talent. I can't blame the bloke for going to somebody who will triple his wages as I imagine either of those money-blinded clubs would, but it would be a shame to see him stuck in an ordinary side like Villa and Newcastle basically are. I want to see how he gets on in a really top team.
——
Their owners are billionaires, who have already demonstrated with their comedy post-promotion signings that they are willing to throw a lot of money after particularly old rope.
They very much like statement signings, to keep the fans happy, whether the numbers make sense or not.——
Rice is outstanding but I can’t agree that Bissouma is nowhere near him?
But anyway, they’re different players. Rice is much more of an all round midfielder involved far more in West Ham’s attacking play than Biss is for us. I was talking about playing the defensive midfield role, just retrieving the ball and recycling it. I haven’t seen anyone close to Biss for that since Kante’s peak.——
Unbelievable! There is no one, and I include Kante nowadays, who does that job as well as Bissouma in European football.
How did the 15 other members of the fanbase respond to that?

Always impressed me and is probably as good as what we have but I guess the club needs to be careful with wages, especially if it’s for backup players.
I'm just not sure about FFP now after Everton claimed about twice as much as everyone else for COVID losses, if they can get away with that I'm sure CP has some tricks up his sleeve

I know next to nothing about him - is he a DM ?
Yeah, DM converted from a CB but seems like he can pass too so hopefully exactly what we need

If we actually had a proper defensive midfielder who can tackle and pass the ball, Mings and Konsa/Chambers/Hause would look a lot more solid. It one of the main reasons holding us back, not Mings.
Absolutely this, also a CB alongside side him who is willing to share the load with regards to ball progression

That's like replacing Coutinho with Kante. Just wildly different type of players.
You're telling me that someone was spouting some nonsense on twitter? Don't believe that for a second

Glad I can always count on VT to settle an enquiry for me.
I think some people believe gerrard ultimately wants to replicate Liverpool, in which case firmino would work well, however not so well if we want to implement the dual 10 formation as we likely need someone who makes runs in behind

Yeah we wanted bissouma/phillips but since they went to other teams we are packing up our cheque book and going home...
