Yes basically there is a cap on how much wages can rise over a three year period. The issue is we still have 2 years of championship seasons limiting us to a.l degree on top of that we have given significant bumps to grealish, mings, Davis etc so probably even less to work with.

We needed more players this window.

We simply can't have bought basically another 11 players that would mean doing. We have to work with some of the players we bought last summer still and get the most out of them we can.

Funny thing is the hype is mostly based on YouTube compilations and nothing else. Most people had never heard of him before the rumor started 

It's simple to me. We can't do much more within the 3 year wage rise FFP restriction..we have probably hit that limit with the signings made and contract uplifts this summer. So to be still wishing for 3/4 more players just won't happen. We will have to go with what we have. And yes that includes some we bought last summer that seemingly are not good enough, which isn't ideal but I think we are at our wages limit.

I think that's us done for now. I admit I am uncomfortable about central defence. Elmo or Hause starting terrifies me. Striker is a risk is Watkins can't play, let's hope Traore is up to it of required 

Well. If we have to rely on most of those that played tonight much over the season, that is a concern!

Let's hope he sees this as his chance to prove himself over a full season again as a starter in the league. If that happens we will be better for it. Then the question of Chelsea taking him back like Tammy tears it's head, but I suppose another year in the league would mean we could look elsewhere financially if need be.

If you combined Target and Taylor you would have a good left back. One can defend and one can attack so that's unfortunate!

I think 1 loan in whoever that ends up being. Not sure about Loftus-Cheek when you read up about his ongoing back injury which means he has to be rested.

I don't believe the Rashica nonsense. If we get another winger it will be someone not mentioned signed out of the blue.

I don't see anyone willing to take on the rest of the dead wood on a permanent basis unfortunately. Lansbury, Jota, Engels, Nyland, Kalinic are all probably on prohibitively high wages to sell.

I wouldn't even consider getting rid of Nakamaba, Trez, El Ghazi as we will literally have no cover in a very compacted schedule where injuries are probably going to be as factor more than ever.
