Did we not just sign an extension with them? I don't see it ending anytime soon... unless that extension was negotiated before Heck came in?
I know its only Wikipedia, but according to them, the Fanatics deal meant a '450% increase in e-commerce' sales. Now I'm no expert, so not sure what that means in real terms, but it sounds like a s**t-ton of extra cash to me.

That season we came back up, I genuinely feared for us, a squad rebuild of the size that was required was always going to be a struggle to make things click. Sometimes I genuinely wondered where the points would come from. One player was consistently very good, others were patchy at best, some looked absolute rubbish. As a whole, we were garbage.
Wesley was, in my opinion, no worse than many others. Add the fact he was so young, new country etc, and I think he deserves a bit of slack. And at times, dare I say it, he looked pretty effing good!
I wish him all the very best, seems a top lad. Oh yeah, and F**K Ben Mee.

I honestly think that no-one hates him and will back him when called upon.
Folks just stating the obvious that he's a massive downgrade and a liability
Unfortunately I can't agree, I think they'll always be some who won't back him, you can clearly hear the moans and groans from the stands when he's playing, he surely must hear it too and this can't be good for his confidence.
During the warm up at Brighton away, he was practicing coming for crosses with the GK coach, some bloke shouted 'YOU CAN F*****G CATCH THEN YOU CLOWN?' He definitely heard it, hardly anyone in the stands at that point, and the blokes around the culprit were laughing their heads off.

It's an ancient bylaw that's never been changed.
Anyone who fastens, ties or straps himself to an upright post in public, is considered fair game to be tossed upon by the local peasantry, apart from on Sundays or the King's birthday. If a copper is near by you're allowed to finish in his helmet.

Here’s a guy that does it:

Short answer no. An to be fair why should they, you chose to support Aston Villa who are a football club and most money in the league is provided by betting companies. If they ever do anything for religious reason then they will not get my support anymore. Why should they?
You'd stop supporting the Villa over that? Wow.
-
Sorry if this has been covered, but are they ever going to cater for adults who for religious reasons can't have a bookie on their shirt?
I love the kids kit without that hideous sponsor

What’s the guy at the front holding in the first pic along with his phone? Looks like a massive baguette or some sort of dodgy lightsaber
It's Mcginn holding a curly wurly

Take the sponsor off and it's a nice enough shirt.
Hopefully the transfers are as shite as the cazoo ones and they'll peel off after 2 washes

Off topic slightly but I'm seeing loads more villa shirts on folk out and about different places. Got season passes for alton towers and see loads of villa fans there. And this weekend we went Cosford air show and saw loads, and it's usually full of dingles there

Anybody that still thinks that MOTD isn’t biased should surely change their mind after last night when the analysis was about our high line, that despite it working better than any other team that it will be figured out quickly. Nothing really about us being by far the better team, Kane diving or much Villa positive. It’s why I watch Sky Sports YouTube clips generally of games rather than the poor biased analysis from MOTD, not sure why I bothered again last night watching it.
Yep MOTD is gash. I watch it as the highlights are longer than the ones on YouTube. But I've found myself fast-forwarding the crap being spouted by the 'pundits' (we always watch it on iplayer on sunday) between games. They're so poor. And I don't know why Ian Wright thinks putting on a pair of Harry Potter glasses makes him look intelligent. He's thick as mince

Anyone on here use the AV1 bus from Tamworth area? Caught it a few times, used to be able to pay on the day, but noticed now you can book in advance on the app. But today's game seems to have disappeared off the app, wondered if this means it's sold out? Don't want to risk getting turned away

I've actually got the jitters this morning. First time in ages I'm this nervous/excited about a game, it feels like it's a massive game in terms of how far we've come. Shame we're looking a little light depth-wise, we need whoever is starting to be on their game from the off. I'd fancy Emery to out-think Howe, it's just whether we have the personnel to carry out his plan. In most places I rate our lads man-for-man, but the centre of the park concerns me. Kamara is a huge loss, weve been lucky with the teams we've faced without him being shite recently, but this lot I feel will press that area from the start. Whoever is playing that role has to be on it. That's the key area for me today. Win that midfield battle and we win the game.

I wish we had something like that after each goal scored, would be such an electric atmosphere. Something like how continental teams do, like Dortmund
No, no, no! Let's just hear the crowd! I cringe at 'goal music'. Like Leicester in the week, it seems so false. In my opinion obviously

Managed to get a ticket in the home end, absolute torture not being able to go effing mental when Bertie popped up with that! Pissing myself all night at the bitterness of the Lesster fans, some of them seem to be developing Leeds-level hatred/obsession with us. Apparently Tyrone Mings is f*****g s**t. Strange how he dominated last night though, eh? Was dying for him to score and shut their stupid mouths got to say massive congrats to the away support, I was in the opposite corner and villa were loudest by far!

Having the streaky bacon wouldn't ruin the burger for me like non-crispy bacon would, bit it would be very close.
Definitely want back bacon on there.
See I reckon streaky crisps up better because of the higher fat. But each to their own, no wrong answer when it comes to food

Not much I don't like on a burger, but if your having bacon it defo needs to be Streaky and well-done. Bit of a bbq/grilling enthusiast, I love 1/4lb steak burgers from our village butcher, or make my own patties from minced beef, smoked low n slow on the offset smoker to retain moisture and flavour, grated cheese melted on, toasted bun from local bakery. Depending on what I fancy, sometimes do the ketchup/mustard/mayo combo, or I make my own bbq sauce and use that, wouldn't put a shop-bought one on a burger, they're too sweet.
And now I'm effing starving

Loved watching them go out last night. What an average side they are. Can you imagine where they would be as a club if they hadn’t had Harry Kane. Sky sports news last night had a headline of “spurs trophy drought continues” as if spurs had any chance of winning the champions league and a drought is like Man Utd winning the league cup after 5 years of no trophies spurs haven’t even been in the fa cup final for over 30 years. They may as well have said wigans trophy drought continues
I was bemused when I saw they were involved in the European Super league plans. Apart from their NFL stadium there's nothing elite about them. Those inbred Small Heathens have won a major trophy more recently than them

It's a generation thing I think. Older fans seem to want long balls and lots of running and low risk possession.
Younger people are happy to see the team try and manoeuvre the opposition around from the back to make space and attack through.
I get what you're saying, however I'm an old(ish) fart who appreciates the patient build up, and the mouthy git wanting us to lump it was an acne-scarred yoooof who looked like he spends most of his life on Fortnite

Shame to hear, but I can't blame them. It was far from comfortable possession.
Thought of us doing it without Kamara really worries me.
I don't think I'll ever fully relax with us playing this way, but it looks like it's here to stay. And I think the anxious noises from the ground can't help the lads on the pitch.
Agreed about Kamara, we might see a slight tweak as up until now he's been the main outlet
