I'm not sure how much he knows (if anything). Equally, I'm not sure how much you or anyone else on this board knows. If I was a betting man, I'd bet that we all know somewhere between very little and absolutely nothing.

So let's deal in facts. The domestic window has been open for 8 days and we've signed 1 player from Leicester City. The international window isn't open for another 9 days and we've understandably signed zero players from abroad. We've therefore signed the joint-fourth or fifth (depending on what you read) most players out of all Premier League clubs, including the likes of Luton, Everton and West Ham, all of which need signings much more than us. That also includes the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal, who are arguably closer to where we want to be.

Chances are we'll never know the full facts of what happens in this window or most other windows, so the most sensible approach, and the least irritating one for others, is to hold off with the panic until much closer to the end of the window, when it's probably a bit more warranted.

looks as though newcastle have agreed a deal fo trhat italian player  so nothing stopping us  agreeing deals befiore internaional window opens

So you would advocate that the club should just pay twice what they think a player is worth?

all im saying they wont let go for lower than release clause thats what its for

Feels like Rodrigo will be our next signing and I think it's a smart one. He's experienced and will be happy to play second fiddle to Watkins.

He will also be of good use in Europe.

He actually had a good season for Leeds last season as well.

    no to rodrigo n

From reading up on her seems a great signing and another indication of the direction the club is going in.

it has died down about hanson ward was quit hopeful of getting her back to us

Guardian women's football writer saying we've had new keeper replacement lined up for months, presumably rules out Janina Leitzig as I don't think Man Utd and Leicester would be trying to sign her if she had already agreed to sign for us. I guess we will announce whoever it is after Hampton's contract expires. Carla Ward did say we have a few deals already agreed, and a few more that just need pushing over the line.

    hopefully patten and hanson

Hampton happy to sit on Chelsea's bench or be farmed out on loan, when she could be number one here. Doing a Chuk as its now known as.

i quite liked hayes but i really thinks she needs bring down to earth

Hannah Hampton in talks with Chelsea, it's strange as they're already known for having too many good goalkeepers as it is. Hopefull we can bring in a good replacement, maybe one of Chelsea's other keepers might be of interest if they sign Hampton, Janina Leitzig who was on loan at Leicester last season would be an obvious one to go for but I haven't seen us linked to her yet.

hayes just looking tio pinch someone elses good player when not needed

We reinstated her back in the team and have offered her a new contract and England have also reinstated her back in the squad, so seems whatever she did to lose her place she's been forgiven for it now.

I don't think she has any ill will towards the club or Carla, but maybe after incident, whatever it was, just wants a change of scenery and a new start.

As above I'm not too worried, it's just the way it is in women's game, players move all the time because of shorter contracts and minimal transfer fees if any transfer fee at all, and also for the fact that we have another good goalkeeper in Anna Leat and our recruitment has been excellent last few years, not just big name signings, but all signings have done really well, so I'm sure we will find another very good keeper.

anna leat looked just has good bhas hampton

I heard a  rumour late last night about Ollie watkins.

It involves  contract negotiations involving his management company...plus a HEAVY interest from one certain london club who want to nail him down early in the window.

This could be interesting if true.

so it looks like he might turn down new crontract emty has done a lot for his game

I think the dates of the transfer window are a bit of an irrelevance as clearly agreements are being made, deals done etc. and despite the links we don’t appear close with anyone.

Possibly the Alemany situation slowed us right down and we are waiting to get a SD in place before progressing anything. Or things are moving along nicely with a couple of targets and we just haven’t heard yet. Who knows?

If it relates to getting an SD in though how effective would anyone be when they have literally just landed at a club? I would presume our targets are already identified rather than expecting someone who has barely set foot off the plane to identify and recruit the perfect upgrades unless we intend to do our business late in the window meaning any new signing would not feature in pre season.

Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

we will miss out on players thelonger it draws on  sureley they can carry on

I think our most important signing of the summer could be retaining Kirsty Hanson, either on loan again or permanent transfer. Her goals, assists, running power were so impressive last season. Such an asset.

She’s a good age as well at only 25, whereas Daly, Dali, Nobbs and Staniforth are all 30 or over.

how old is patten if get her back
