  1. Our Pontus Jansson is a revelation. A tremendous defender. Haven't seen a player of his quality at Elland Road since 2004.
  2. Very close game. Periods in the first half where we could consider ourselves lucky not to be behind. Your failure to capitalise and the brilliance of Pontus Jansson kept it 0-0. Different story in the second. Lot more impetus and more adventure to our play and had a goal to show for it- was then your turn to benefit from piece of good fortune when Jansson cracked the bar. We should have really added to to our lead but you came back- very strong options from the bench like McCormack who livened things up for you. Clear penalty to be honest. Cooper was naive at best- our second choice centre back who's a big step down from our first choice. In terms of how the teams compared- a lot of your players namely Ayew looked as though they'd rather be anywhere else. What's noticeable is the lack of team spirit compared to our lot who fist pump and high five with every block made and every corner won. On the balance of play, although it was close the fact we had more clear cut opportunities and were more threatening in our period of dominance, we probably deserved to win.
  3. Mate he's a complete shithouse. Worse than Batesy in my opinion. Utterly bizarre man. Headstrong and naive.
  4. A takeover looks imminent as well. Must give Monk a long term contract as he's on a one year contract. The sooner Cellino clears off the better. Credit to Monk- the man's assembled a squad from scratch and he's combined some older heads with some academy products. Very progressive as you say. 12 years in the wilderness has hurt everyone. January is massive- we have to tie down Pontus Jansson, Pablo Hernandez and bring in a backup striker. Elland Road is fast becoming a fortress- unbeaten in 8 there and the crowds are returning- looking to be a home sell out for Rotherham next week.
  5. 1-1. Tight affair. You're unbeaten at home this season aren't you?
  6. Villa, Newcastle, Leeds. The three genuinely big clubs in the league. Forest at a push. Poor support, like but great history. Too many teams are. branded as being big like Sheffield Wednesday, Derby etc. I recall Wednesday averaging 24k in the Premier League and that was in 2000
  7. How many season tickets did you sell this season? By the looks of things, your crowds are holding up nicely after relegation.
  8. Oh aye, small allocation of 2,600 but fair enough lads your ground's going to be close to capacity so why give us lot more.
  9. Terrific turnout that especially for a TV game. Hopefully a good atmosphere. First time at Villa Park in ages.
  10. How many have you lot sold for the Leeds game?
  11. I'm a Leeds United supporter and don't worry I'm not here to wind up any Villa fans. Want to join so that I can compare fortunes of the two clubs amd have general conversations about the Beautiful Game and this is especially the case cause we're playing you on Thursday.
