I'm delighted by this news. Perhaps I'm a bit unrealistic because the Championship is much tougher than I realise but for me, RDM is a marquee signing and the first by this club in a long time. It also suggests that Xia has the cash to go and we're likely to splash the bobs around. I still believe Di Matteo is a fine manager and while he was sacked a couple times, he's been a winner on and off the pitch. He speaks more languages than any of us and in truth, depending on the player nationalities, could be an invaluable asset. Also, very well dressed man he is too.
Good job you mentioned this, i was starting to doubt his ability!

I can see Dr X getting mightily pissed off with the media, if he isn't already.
Once the sale has been completed I'm sure they'll all disappear back up the arses of the London clubs and forget we exist again.
Until someone spots Grealish with a balloon or Gabby in Dubai...

Did we not already know this?

The clubs new owner Dr. Tony Xia has been impressed with RDM’s CV and his plans for the Villa squad. Dr. Xia’s £76m takeover will only be concluded once he passes the premier league’s owners and directors tests."

Funny that in this day and age the press are still allowed to write absolute guess work and print it as fact.
So pretty much everyone on VT could work for the press

Been utter shit for the best part of half a decade.

Yes i agree, however he has been "utter shit" in the premier league, might be solid in the championship.

Well seeing as at present there's no players at BMH that need coaching I don't see it being a problem. We have about 4 weeks until the players return and I guarantee we will have a new owner and manager in place by then. With our current squad and a decent manager we will be pushing for minimum playoffs. The Championship is full of crap teams.
But we are crap aswell

I have to agree, I'm unclear why we need PL approval at all. I get that we're still technically in it, but surely a little common sense should prevail.
It's because they know we're going to be back in it soon...

What has Clark done then? He always gives his best and will be easily good enough in the Championship.
As long as he doesn't try any Cruyff turns...

I'd be ok with Gana leaving, but would be over the moon if we can have Amavi, Traore and Ayew in our first 11 next season - them 3 on fire would be too much for any team in the division including NUFC.
Add Gestede to that and the league will be ours

Hey, my name is Shaun. Me and my dad have had a season ticket in the Holte from the 10/11 with Houllier in charge. I was at Wembley when we overcame Liverpool and ive been to many away games also, including Swindon away with a 3-2 win and away at the Etihad with a Gareth Barry OG where we won 4-2 in ET. My first ever game was at home to Bolton back in '08 with a Marlon Harewood header to secure a 4-0 win. Plenty of good times to talk about but i was also there at Stamford Bridge were we got slaughtered 8-0, less said about that the better IMO.
Sound.
